Gap-goddess: Create Seventh Force gender

>You cannot commune with the goddess at this time.

Janaside:
>"Nope, let's get this on!"
>Head inside!

Sanaside:
>Make sure we know how all this junk works
>Stop Jana if there's any real doubts.

> :3 With a joyful shout, you lead the way into the caves!

> :) You're pretty sure you know this stuff works. The communicators just go on your ears and you press a button on the side to turn it on. And the teleported objects just need to be put into the chamber and another button pressed. With no reason to stop her,you follow Jan into the cave!

> :) Make sure you have a flashlight!
>Make sure you never annoy Trance. What just happened to Jan looked terrible :<

>You don't know what a flashlight is, but there are some torches along the walls of the entrance to the caves. You tell Jan and Trance to grab one while you do the same.
>Jan looked pretty scared, yeah... But Trance seems nice enough.

Tranceside
>Slowly realize that you're the mule.

> :V You've been traveling alone for a very long time, You'd really hate it if your new companions were just using you.

:V:V: Whinny.

>...You don't whinny, but you do give a little shout of joy to mark the start of your expedition!

>As the three of you take torches from the mouth of the cave, you take a good look around. This part of the cave system is fairly well-lit, with glistening stalactites dripping water into small, reflective pools below. It looks pretty flat so far, but you can see that the cave starts sloping downwards as it opens up.
>Making your way down, hats protecting you from the incessant drops of water, you come to an opening in the cave. The chamber seems to be riddled with stones, small and broken. A glance upwards shows that these may have been stalactites not too long ago. A closer looks reveals that these stalactites did not simply break apart, but were cleanly cut from the ceiling!

Stalactites: Aggress.
Hats: Convert CAVE WATER into ELF TEARS, use COVERTECH: BRIM-STONE
Sana's Bustline: Grow three sizes this day.

> OH MY GAWWWWWWDDDDDD
>Check for enemies

> :) You react in a manner befitting your position. You somehow manage not to fall while swinging your lance around, and you force Jan and Trance to duck.

Janaside:
>"Trance, was this you? Were you assaulting harmless stalactites? What did they ever do to you?"
>"Don't worry Sana, you've got me here to keep the baddies off you."
>Look around for signs that people might have been here.

Trance:
>Bray
>Assess the cuts on the stalactites. Were they done by a sword or some kind of mining tool?

> :3 Trance looks a little displeased by your accusation, even if it was in jest. You're not being very welcoming to your new team member...
>Sana, on the other hand, is comforted enough to stop swinging her lance. It's a shame you couldn't teach her how to use that thing properly.
>There aren't any signs that people were here, aside from the obvious evidence of the stalactites.

> :V Why do you want to make so many animal noises? You settle for a cough.
>It doesn't take too long to find a piece of stone originating from the point of the cut. It's been sliced clean through, as if with a long sword.

Stalactites: Aggress.
Hats: Convert CAVE WATER into ELF TEARS, use COVERTECH: BRIM-STONE
Sana's Bustline: Grow three sizes this day.

>The stalactites are partially blocking an exit from the chamber. There is one other way out, excluding the way you came in through but it looks very narrow. You could possibly clear enough rock from the wider path, but it would take some time.
>You all shake the water off of your hats. Unfortunately, you cannot convert it to any form of energy, although Trance could convert it to vapor or ice if she wanted to.
> :) You like your chest the way it is! >:<

>Check the debris around the other exit, to see how likely it is to collapse.

> :3 As you scan the debris and go through it with your hands, you discover that some of the rocks (and now your hands too) are wet with a mixture of water and blood. You've seen enough of it to be just a bit surprised, and Trance seems about the same, but Sana lets out an audible gasp. Digging a bit more, the ratio of blood to water shifts in the blood's favor. It seems like these rocks were used to crush something underneath...

> :) Twiddle your thumbs while everyone else does their complicated science stuff.

> :) You can't really twiddle your thumbs at this situation... Jan and Trance may be youkai, but you're a teenage human girl. You've never been involved with any bloody business before.

>Help dig this poor schmuck out.

> :V You go help Jana move the stones since Sana is predisposed. It doesn't take long before you move enough to see what's underneath.

>The two of you who are digging eventually get far enough to find a small mound of soft flesh. It seems pretty discolored and cold, but it's still moving ever so slightly! You dig a bit more around it and uncover a small magic leech, covered in blood. Digging further, there seem to be some more, but they've been crushed beyond familiarity. This one seems to have been the only one to survive.

> :3 You have some familiarity and fondness for magic leeches! You know that the leeches gather around strong sources of magic, which they take in to grow to a fully adult form. Magic leeches make the transition from human magician to youkai magician easier on the magician's body, so you kept one as a pet during your own transition. It's safe to assume that this small group was gathered around the underground stream, but they are a bit far from the stream itself... What could have driven them this far away, and why did they end up this way?

> :3 A quick check shows that the dead leeches have no magic, on account of being dead. The live leach still has magic in its body though, so you don't think they were drained.
>You cannot say this, as it truly is a tragedy. You love those little guys... So you go ahead and offer an arm to the poor guy. It happily attaches itself. Trance lets Sana know that it's not so bad, though.

> :) You take a look at the little thing Jan is holding-Er, keeping on her arm. It's covered in blood, but the trembling shows it is indeed alive. You cautiously apply some healing magic to it, and Jan gives you a beaming smile.

> :V While Jana feeds and Sana heals, you go ahead and scan. Aside from the damage of being crushed, it seems a bit bloated... It probably fed recently. However, its skin, although naturally pale, is pallor enough that you can see its veins. It may be shock, but you have no idea if such things work that way with non-humanoids.

>In a few minutes, Sana finishes her healing, and Jana finishes her feeding. The leech lets go of Jana's arm voluntarily, looking less see-through for it, and the healing magic has restored most of its internal functions.
>Your party acquired: Lucky Magic Leech!
>A smiling magic leech that was fortunate enough to survive an unknown assault. As it is living, it's too risky to send via teleporter, and it would be inhumane to keep it in a space-magic backpack, especially since it narrowly escaped death by crushing. What would you like to do with it?

> :) The leech is trying to get down your shirt, but you catch it in time and put tuck it between your vest and top instead, leaving it's top half out to breathe.

> :) Checking the map now that you've cleared the rocks blocking the second passage, you can now get a better feel for what to expect. The first passage seems to remain narrow, but not very steep, as it leads down towards the magic stream. The second passage, while wide, seems to be very steep, perhaps even becoming a vertical shaft at some point. Which way would you like to go?
> :3 :V You both take the time to report your findings to triangles while Sana checks the map. She seems very concerned about the facts that the leeches were killed and that they were this far from their preferred habitat in the first place, so close to the surface.
