>Did we ever ponder having an successor of our own ?

>It's not really crossed your mind. Until yesterday, there was hardly a worry.

> Sip (unless tea hasn't actually been poured yet).

>The tea is prepared. You sip and find it is serviceable black tea. Not bad, but not exceptional. You'd serve it to the faeries or perhaps Patchouli and Koakuma.
>"So you don't really know where Nazrin got off to, then?" says Flandre.
>"I might hazard a few guesses, if she's here to work..."

>"Well, the Hakurei Branch Shrine has its problems, but we all know that," says Kyrie. "Let's see, the pure land people over at the Floating Lotus temple would probably want her. Hm, does she work on things like markets?"
>"Not that I know," says Flandre. "She's pretty aggressive about about not getting roped into other things like that."
>"Shame, the trading house could definitely do with a touch up, but you can't trust them to do anything until it's already broken."

>"It's off east from the center of town," says Kyrie.
>"Near the fountain," adds Tsuneko.

>Think about possible candidates to be our successor.

>The only people you know with notable talent for faeries would be Renko or Reisen. The latter is clearly taken, and the former isn't really maid material.

>What do we know of our now-lost watch and it's history ? Is it an heritage ?

>Your main encounter with her was when she tried to overrun and loot the manor with faeries. Shamefully, she almost succeeded, the army she gathered was impressive and had more than a few of the less loyal maids in it. Since then, your encounters have mostly been when she visits for Patchouli's little social club with the rest of the magicians.
>You imagine so, age doesn't seem to mean much for faeries, they seem to be born with a fair deal of knowledge. You imagine you'd have to spend more time familiarizing her with modern concepts, but you're sure you can do it.
>You don't know much about its history.

>Ponder if we could work with Patchouli to give birth to an fairy for that cause.

>Most of them came back. You and Mistress decided it would be easier to overlook the affair in exchange for getting a full staff again.
>You don't think so, faeries result from natural phenomena, rather than anything that people do. You'd probably just end up with some kind of weird familiar at best.

> In which direction did we travel to get here?

>You aren't wholly sure, due to the canopy being blocked, but you think you went northwest.  Or at least you think you came northwest from the chariot to the shrine.

>From what you can gather, cultivation tends to keep them from appearing, which is why rice fields and gardens aren't lousy with faeries.
