>You do so, following the directions that the kappa gave you. The halls here are wide and decorated with a variety of art pieces, many from cultures you do not recognize. You're certain Mistress would love to have many of them. The marble tiled floor is covered with a sturdy rug, while elegant carvings decorate the borders of the wall. Doors of fine wood line the hall, each with a nameplate. Many are not in Japanese, or letters you recognize. The crowds here are less, mostly messengers hurrying about, and well-dressed (or you assume well dressed when you don't recognize their clothing style at all) people moving at a more relaxed pace, some in twos and threes talking among themselves.
>Following the kappa's directions, you climb to the second floor via a stairway close to the entrance to the main hall and soon find a door with a nameplate declaring it to be Kanako-sama's.
