>In which direction is our shadow falling?
>And presumably this girl is coming at us from that same direction?
>How long does it take to prepare Aya's camera for picture-taking?

>It is still to your left; toward the east.
>The Poltergeist is coming from the south, toward you more or less head on. For the time being, the tree has your shadow on it.
>A couple moments. You wouldn't have time to do this immediately.

This is just an idea:

Point behind her
"Is that a book?!"

If we want to distract her, we should use that time to prepare a drill. I don't mind preparing the camera while she watches, she likely won't feel threatened by it regardless of her familiarity with it.

Well, I'm not sure how long she would be affected by the camera, if at all. If she is affected for a long time, then we could use that time to prepare the drill.

The idea with the camera is that it's a means, not an end. Using the misdirection distraction to set it up defeats the purpose. Ideally I'd like to see misdirection-to-drill and camera-to-something-else (eyepoke?).

>The force of our drill attack is still primarily electrical, rather than concussive, correct?
>Do we have anything in our repertoire that has greater concussive force, or could be altered to be so?
>How bright could we make a lightning strike, even if at the expense of other aspects of it? Enough to momentarily blind someone, if it struck right in front of their face?
>The poltergeist seems less agile than before, but is she also notably slower in terms of direct speed?
>Quickly glancing at our immediate surroundings, do we see any rocks that would have notable heft, but still be small enough to be throwable, even if this required both hands?
>If one or more suitable is nearer to one of the three candidate trees mentioned earlier, draw back towards that one
>Otherwise, draw back to the one to the north, amid the stand of trees

>It's both; you're not sure what the actual ratio is, but there should be enough non-electrical force to make a decent attack of it.
>Your basic danmaku has some; and your physical attacks.
>You might be able to make a blinding flash; but you've never tried it before. You'd want to build up a good charge to try it.
>She may be a little slower; you've not had a lot of time to estimate.
>You are certain there are rocks to be found, but the leafy covering of the forest floor conceals them nicely.
>You draw back northward, giving yourself some more space. Unfortunately, moving backwards still is not optimally fast. She continues to pursue.

>There are quite a few trees nearby now, correct? To facilitate quick shifting, if needbe?
>How would we go about gathering charge for a blinding bolt? Would this require us to be stationary for a time, or could it be done on the move?
>Would the charge expended on it render us unable to follow up with a drill attack?

>Fire a spray of basic danmaku at her; let's see if non-electrical attacks have any greater effect on her at present

>There are many trees here, but not all are suitable for keeping your shadow fully off the ground.
>You would have to direct a little effort toward doing it; akin to holding your breath while doing some other thing; though not quite so distracting. More time and effort focusing on it will speed the process, but it's not necessary; you can move about normally if you don't mind it taking more time.
>You should be able to follow up with a drill attack.
>You fire a spray at her; she steps between the shots and continues to approach.

>Begin to gather charge
>Glance around for another candidate tree

>You start to gather electricity, and look around for another tree. You find one to the left, but it is not very far away.
>Looking back to the poltergeist, you see her raise her hands, and sends a cloud of danmaku at you. You may be able to dodge through it, but going around would definitely be safer.

>Scan for a further tree to shift to, as we move
>If it is not, move far enough past it to be safe of the cloud, then return to the tree
>If she moves in on our exposed shadow during movement, send a spread of danmaku to cover the direction of exposure
