-5 gold for daily cost of food

You wake up at around 9 and decide to take a quick peek at the stream on the way to Marisa's.

At the stream, you see a stream with various plant varieties growing around. A few fairies pass by once in a while. You also see a small berry bush.

> Consider arson at Kourindou.

You think about it, but then remember he has a few high-powered loli friends. Don't want to upset them.

You pick a few generic looking flowers.
+3 flowers

You go to the berry bush and take some berries.
+1 handful of berries (spoils in 2 days)

At around 10, you arrive at Marisa's house and knock on the door. She answers looking like she stayed up all night. You see an overflow of mushrooms in her house.
"Umm, heh, you know that mushroom you gave me? It's really tasty, so I tried a multiplying spell on it and now my place is overflowing with them. You sell stuff right? I can supply you with them and you can sell them to people, ze. 1 gold piece for 1 mushroom."

You found a new supplier!
Marisa- mushrooms, 1 for 1 gold piece

"They won't spoil in my house, but once you take them, they go bad in 2 days."

"Also, I have a lot of junk lying around that I need to get rid of to make space for all the mushrooms, so if you're ever looking for random stuff, we may be able to work something out."

You found a new store!
Marisa's house- random stuff, stock changes daily

Buy some mushrooms?

This is my first game, does it seem like I'm doing the mechanics right?

Oh, what the hell...

And is the random item thing in Marisas house the same as the random item thing everywhere else?

You purchase 2 mushrooms, and as a first time bonus, she throws one in for free.

-2 gold pieces
+3 mushrooms

Do you mean you wanna check to see what she has? The items in her house are random and change each day. No other store will have exactly what she has every day.

You look around and see a metal frying pan and an axe.

"Nah, they're just stuff I found"

> If they aren't consider taking the frying pan.

You ask about the frying pan.
"Sure, you can have it if you do a favor for me. I need to return this teapot to Reimu. Wutcha say, ze?"

You accept the job and proceed to deliver the teapot.

+1 teapot

You get a get directions to the Hakurei Shrine and start to head over there.
New area discovered!
Hakurei Shrine- Reimu lives here

You head off through the forest and come across a lone fairy.

Run of the mill ordinary fairy. She seems to be sad, sitting down by herself  with her knees to her chest.

"There is this big hollow tree that has plenty of space, but it's occupied by a youkai and I don't know where to find someone to help me."

You remember your basic danmaku skills and think that even if you teamed up, it probably wouldn't be enough.

"Ok, I'll just wait here then."

You go to Reimu's shrine thinking that it's her job to eliminate youkai.
Upon arriving, you find her sweeping the front of the shrine.

You call Reimu over and give her the teapot saying Marisa sent you to return it. She asks your name and you tell her.

You tell her the fairy's dilemma, but she seems less than eager to do it.
"I'm pretty busy around here, I can't be bothered by the problems of a fairy."

Maybe she needs some encouragement?

Hmm... How much money does the shopping vendor have (because of multiple people)?

You have 8 gold pieces currently.

"What? I'm offended. I'm an honorable shrine maiden and I can't be bribed like that."

You throw 1 gold piece in the donation box.

"Where is she?"

This is a bit too..how do you say it..rude, shopkeepers have to be polite.

Do this instead.
