Can't blame the sender if the post office takes longer than anticipated.
Ban them as well. Or the sender has already PM'd Vic with the tracking, because if Vic didn't receive anything, then the user is banned.

Yeah, there's a difference between the post office taking a couple extra days to get stuff out, and announcing in this thread last week that you finally sent something out.

Well, Russian Orthodox Christmas is January 6, so I'll reserve judgement until that day comes and goes.

Still haven't gotten mine yet.  I see what you did there, exlcuding the Jew.  No, that's fine, have your fun.  I'll just drop hints at the annual Christmas meeting of the international Jewish conspiracy, 's  all.
Can I join up? Seems I've been passed by for Christmas presents this year, too. Which I reckon makes me de facto Jewish, if I understand the Talmud correctly.
I really hope my landlord's business on the 1st floor of my apartment building is open sometime this week considering that he'll get the package before I do.

Less than 33 hours remaining for GMT+1 people to open their packages. And to BAN the ones who didn't send.

@ GMT+++ people can probably open them sooner so expecting good reports. Better make the BunBunMaru proud.

@ GMT--- people, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Mine hasn't arrived either. But Christmas is not a post holiday here, so here's hoping for an exciting last minute arrival!

There's still a chance for things to come - I know from threads past people do get their packages on Christmas Eve (like, the one I sent a few years ago!) but I do really hope all the last minute stragglers were sending USPS Priority where the deadline for that was like the 21st otherwise  >:D :flamingv: YOU BECOME THE COAL SANTA GIVES

Did you seriously not send anything? Or are you just late?

I don't think being shorter than overly late gets you banned. But not sending anything, yet wanting to show off your SS haul, that would be pretty what.

I know that what I sent is terrible and that I'm in no place to complain but what do I do in the case I don't get anything?
I really hope this doesn't happen to ANYONE.

My own personal deadline is January 6, to account for shoddy post offices, brain-dead tolls and customs services, and this year's levels of slackitude. If nothing comes by then, I'll be making a gift for the forum.

The fun of this is giving a gift to someone on this forum, and seeing their reaction. So even if nothing comes, that just means everyone gets a gift from me.

I don't think anyone's ever not sent their gifts so there's that at least, but stuff has come varying degrees of late depending on what country you are in and how dumb the postal service is.

You've got the schnoz for it but I don't really hear the suffering/inducing of Jewish guilt upon the fortunate here.

Oh, alright then. It's fine, really, I'm accustomed to rejection. I'll just be at home, alone, staring at the empty spot under my tree. I'll be OK, you guys just go have fun.

Indeed, that most certainly won The Prize, also IIRC Vic sent to Haku the following year and it got completely eaten by the BR BR BR mail trolls?

Yeah Haku was diligent about getting to the post office in fine enough time; it was the trans-continental, trans-hemispherical delivery that delayed things.

Speaking of which, maildude rang my bell a couple minutes ago. I take back everything I said about you lazy slackers. It's a fairly large box, with ridiculously expensive postage, from all the way across the ocean. And on Christmas Eve Eve no less!

(Still want in on that secret Jewish meeting because it sounds pretty sweet.)

Ha! Yeah, I am 98% certain I know who mine is from, too, based on postmark and thread-talk.

Course, the person who got me will be 100% certain it was from me, because I decided against going Tewi and mailing it to elsewhere on the planet before having it sent on to my recipient.
