Suddenly I am regretting my choices for the 5 things I like. What if it's too hard to get something that fits the things? What if they were too vague? Alas, it is far too late to change anything, and all I can do is reassure my mysterious gift-giver that I don't care if I get something that doesn't quite fit one of the things I put down.

Meanwhile, I'm refreshing my email like I'm waiting for an update of some lame-ass webcomic.  :V

The fact that no matter what happened, anything I send could be anything (see my previous entries), the person I have makes things a bit more... random. I'm happy with this~

Well, I am so totally in on this. Secret Santas always are a load of fun, so count me in. Sadly, I don't have all too much (most likely, a soft 25 will be my spending limit) but I hope you guys enjoy my gift, as I know I'll enjoy yours.

I started taking looks at what everyone got. I have to say, I really do think it's cool. I also saw what HakuraiSM got.... lucky you getting a Reimu
Spoiler:
plushie that's pretty awesome. What were you thinking I was gonna say?

Anyway, I did forget to mention a few things.

Favorite Touhous: Komachi and Suwako are my top two, Then comes the standard set of the cast. Reimu and Marisa, Alice, Sanae and Youmu, Tenshi, Koishi, etc. All the girls are lovely, it's painful to decide which is the most.

For my favorite franchise, Megaman will always have the top spot, with X himself being a person hero of mine. Touhou, Phantasy Star, Type-moon (I already have Rin and SD Saber Alter plushies), Pokemon (I have a Bulbasaur "Megabulbasaur" and a turwig plushie. And those are my only 4 plushies.)

This makes me think. Is there Kokoro plushies out? She's kinda new, so I'm not sure if she or the DDC girls have mass-produced plushies yet. For you in Japan and the touhou hotspot, have you found one of them? The more I think about this, the more curious I get about it.

Spoiler:
(And please, if there's a breast-mousepad thing, please don't get it. There's no way I can use that at home with family or outside in public. I'm way to shy/modest IRL to go around using that). Sorry guys. Aside from that, I think I'll enjoy anything you send, I'm easy to please. Also, I've been buying humble bundles too, just FYI, sorry on not giving you guys a easy gift

I was worried because I checked my email as soon as I woke up and there were no new messages. Anyway. I should start working on the present. I'm so relieved that my partner filled the 5 things field! Thanks to whoever sorted partners!

I'm pretty sure that's a given. Any gift giver can choose to ignore the list of 5 things.

Now that it looks like everyone's got their partner, here's some tips from an grizzled Secret Cirno vet:

1) Giftwrap your present before putting it in the mailing box!  This will keep the surprise even if the box gets open early accidentally or someone's parents don't trust internet strangers (to be fair we are pretty strange  :derp:)

2) If you are sending internationally and the shipping prices are looking ridiculous, take a look at various online sellers and ordering direct.  Amazon in particular is nice since they have warehouses all over the world and could save you quite a bit!  Though in that case I'd definitely recommend springing for giftwrapping per #1.

3) Double check the address when writing it out and write clearly!  One of the packages to the anglehousehold was missing the zip code last year which can delay things a lot, same if they can't read the writing on the box since the postal system is so overloaded this time of year.

And now for me to continue my tread of learning a new ~arts and crafts~ skill for my giftee ohoho  :V

I can semi-vouch for this one... Be careful how you wrap stuff. My 2nd year, some people thought it was a bomb because of how creative I got inside the main box...

Seriously. I seem to have a streak going for 'Christmas Controversy.'  :derp:

4) Don't sign your name on your present :derp:

4) Don't sign your name on your present :derp:
Unless your return address is effectively your name anyway.

In which case, mail it to someone in another country, and get them to send it to your CPSS recipient for you.

I'm really happy with how the partners were assigned this year, should make for some very amusing/interesting gifts.

Doggone it, Vic. You did this on purpose didn't you?
THE HAT HAS NO BIAS!

For those interested, this year's hat was a Barcardi beanie I got for free with my rum.

Why is this bad?
I think it's hilarious. Parents of members still in high school might not.

But yeah, if they're grown-ups, I can't say I see the harm, unless they live in Texas, where dragon dildos are illegal.
