Scattered around the major areas in W1 are password-protected chests and signs.
They require EP Co. Keys to open them. You can pick one up at the EP Co. Store. :VStarting from now and ending
26 December at 00:00 GMT-5, I commission all of you to go in a little scavenger hunt looking for these.
- There are a total of 16 chests and signs, marked with glowstone.
- Each sign contains one or two 8-symbol codes (listed as
S1 or
S2). The difference lies in the prize (see below).
- You must go after ONLY ONE list; to help me verify this, notify me which one you want to sign up for in any of the following means:
- Using '/mail send theep' (arguably the best way)
- Chatting via Minecraft when I'm on
- PMing me on forums with subject line 'MC Xmas in!' and your list decision
- Steam IM (when I'm not busy or the like)
- Posting in the thread (only if none of the others work)
- There are a total of 12 codes to find for each list, so some boxes will only have one code.
- When you find all 12 for your series, PM me a list of the codes (with subject line 'MC Xmas Hunt') and I'll verify.
- If you give me both lists in full, then I'll disqualify you from this altogether.
- Theft of any items from the chests is strictly prohibited.
- Use of mods are discouraged but tolerated.
However, modding players (you and I know who you are) will face a penalty. Should another modder claim first prize in a list, the others will be
removed from participation. This is done to give vanilla players a chance at winning.
- I encourage you all to go at it alone.
Winners - two from each series, or four total - are chosen based on who finishes properly first. First winner gets to choose what (s)he wants - second gets the other. Winners of one set will NOT get the other. Prizes will be sent after the event is over.
What if no one wins? Well, no one gets anything.
S1 (Minecraft-based prizes) - Contents of all 16 chests (and running back to them)
- Mooshroom payment (8 obsidian, 16 diamond, 32 gold, 64 iron)
S2 (Steam-based prizes) - these require active Steam accounts for trading/gifting purposes, so you may have to let me know what your account name is. Plus if winners don't want keys or already have the latter, let me know and we can discuss alternatives.
- 4 TF2 crate keys (1 Naughty, 1 Nice, 2 normal - try your luck with them crates)
