> All right, now we blast in.

> You apply danmaku to door.  It shatters into a million pieces.  You see that it was a swarm of dolls barricading it, and they somehow manage to tumble backwards before they explode.  They scurry under furniture, behind bookshelves, in the rafters...It's dark in here, but that's not a problem for you.  The interior of the house is Victorian style, and very beautiful.  Alice must be very ladylike.

> "Hello?"
> Keep eye out for sneaky dolls sneaking up sneakily.

> You walk into the house while brushing the remains of the door off your dress.
> No one answers when you call out.
> You can see the dolls scurrying back and forth between hiding places.

>"I did warn you. And I really hope you aren't gonna try to blow those things up inside, we don't want to ruin the interior more than necessary."
>Walk inside, look around, be ready to dodge doll antics or back out the door as needs be.

> You call out again, but you're greeted with silence.
> You take a look around.  It really is a nice house, but now that you take a closer look, there's a sewing machine in the foyer, and baskets filled with fabrics, threads, and whatever else on the shelves.  There's a sewing mannequin set up near one of the windows, and...
> On the sewing mannequin is an elaborate black and white dress.  The detail that has been given to the collar, hem, and sleeves is absurd.  It has a necklace, too, a black leather cord with a golden key on it.

> You step closer to the sewing mannequin.  There's something familiar about that dress, but you have a nagging feeling that it's missing something.
> It's an old-fashioned gold key.  It's lost some of its luster, but still a nice accessory to the dress.

>Are there any other rooms? Go have a look in the nearest one.

> Nazrin jumps out of your pocket and blinks into person form.  "What am I supposed to look for in here?"
> There's a kitchen nearby, so you check that out.  There's barely any food at all in the cupboard.

> Hm... if Alice won't answer, then maybe...
> "Hey, Hourai! Are you here?"

> Maybe calling Hourai will work.
> When you call for Hourai, she doesn't answer either.

>Is there a second floor? If so, go look upstairs.

> Judging by the outside, there was definitely a second floor.  You start to look around for a set of stairs.  When you try opening one door, you find that it's locked.  You also hear rapid footsteps.
> The stairs are probably behind this door.

> Look at the photo frames.

>Any photos in them?

> There are five photo frames here, with photos in all of them.  One of them contains a picture of Marisa, who has on her signature grin and is flashing a peace sign at the camera.  Standing next to her is a frail-looking girl with blonde hair, green eyes, and a blue dress with a capelet.  The second is of three young girls: one is a redhead with purple witches' clothing, waving a childish magic wand around enthusiastically.  Another has purple-black hair drawn into a ponytail and wearing a traditional shrine maiden's clothing, complete with a gohei and prayer beads around her wrist.  The third resembles the blonde girl from the first photo.  She's even clutching the same book to her chest timidly, but it's covered in purification seals.
> The third photo is of a tall blonde woman in a maid's dress, smiling and posing with at least three swords in her hands.  There's something written on it, but you can't recognize the language.
> The fourth photo looks like it has been torn apart and taped back together.  It's a picture of a green-haired woman wearing red and holding an umbrella.  There's an expansive field in the background filled with sunflowers.
> There's a woman in the last photo, as well.  She has long, lavender hair that spills down past her waist, and dark blue eyes.  She is clad in all red, complete with a few red beads in her hair.  She has a hair antennae on the side of her head, too.  And six demonic-looking wings.

>"Good work!"
>Up those stairs.

> You and Nazrin head into the room.  It's dark, only lit by a few lanterns.  Doll parts lay in boxes; there's a chisel here, wood shavings all over the floor, a barrel that is plastered in seals, something covered with a sheet in the corner...and shelves filled with dolls, finished and unfinished.  It's a workshop.
> The stairs are narrow and steep.  They give way to the second floor, which seems very nice.  There's short hallway and a few doors.  It's really bare in here.
> As you and Nazrin reach the second floor, you swear you saw the door at the end of the hallway slam shut.

> We'll worry about that picture later. Let's go ask Alice about her shenanigans.

> Those pictures can wait, since you've almost found Alice.

>Ready spellcard 'Shiro's Ashes'.
>"Alice? Are you there?"

> You ready 'Shiro's Ashes' and call out to Alice.  As usual, there's no response.
