A street runs west and east; to the east you can see the Palace of the Earth Spirits. Obvious exits are South, West, and East.

>The stores are mostly clothing and housewares, the former seeming to have lousier prices and selection than Shou's, and the latter not being all that interesting.
>You head east toward the Palace of the Earth Spirits.
>You stand in front of a large, imposing sort of manor that looks more like a fortress than any kind of home. The walls are made of stone and set with stained glass windows. Flat roofs give the the structure something of a boxy feel, and neatly hide any hints of architectural beauty. Moss covers the outer walls, add some much needed color and texture to an otherwise drab and dreary place. Obvious exits are West and North.

But without any activity, its impressiveness gives way to a sort of lonely feeling. It is also a bit more dusty than you'd like in a few places. There are a number of dirty bowls placed haphazardly on the floor. A calico cat lounges on one of the countertops, while a striped orange cat watches you from the corner.
