> Shoot at the gossamer a few more times
> If nothing noteworthy happens, try to walk around it, shooting mind bullets at larger chunks of debris and seeing how far inside the webbing you can see
> Keep an ear out for the monkey just in case it decides to come back

>You shoot at the webbing a few more times; and sever one of the the larger strands, causing some of the debris to collapse under its own weight.
>You walk around the web, noting it has several ways you could enter it, if you chose to and wanted to risk getting stuck. You shoot at some of the debris, knocking a few of the smaller bits off from the force of the shots.
>The treetops are quiet for a few moments, but you think you hear the beast drawing close again.

>You sidestep. This turns out to be a very good idea as something solidly smacks into the where you were standing moments ago.
>Looking up toward the trees, you see the monkey has returned, and is carrying a load of rocks with its lower set of arms. You fire at it, but it ducks aside and lets the shots go by while grabbing another rock with its upper arm.

>If possible, keep moving in some direction or another while doing this.

>You manipulate the light as well as you can. It's a little far off to get the full effect, but you are certain it's not going to be nearly so accurate as before. Its angry screech suggests you've had some effect.
>You keep moving, regardless, as a few more stones smack into the snow. You have more breathing room now, for certain.

>Throw a snowball at it but put what Tewi's puts in them.

>You decide, at least for the time being, that shooting it might be too much. So instead you grab one of its rocks, pack a bit of snow around it to cushion the blow a bit, and let it fly.
>The rock hits the monkey in the chest. It drops all of its stones, squealing from surprise, and nearly falls off the branch. Snaking out with its tail, it grabs onto the branch as it starts to tumble and dangles for a moment, before reaching up and starting to pull itself back. Still, disoriented as it is, the process is not easy.

>You go and examine the monkey. It seems to be unconscious. You recall the faeries calling it a monkey spider, which you imagine distinguishes it from a spider monkey. It does seem to be more spider than simian, though, given it seems to spin webs and has eight limbs.

>You look into the web. There's really not a whole lot of interest inside it, mostly just random junk stuck to the silk. You do note there is a nice blue bottle dangling from part of the web, though.
>You also determine that if you sever a few key strands, the whole thing should collapse on itself.

>It doesn't seem particularly familiar.
>You could probably extract it easily enough, as long as you're careful. It would help to sever that support strand on the northern edge and bring down that side of the web, first.

>You are a little sore around your upper body, but otherwise fine. You think your ought to be able to carry the monkey spider without difficulty.
>You pick up the monkey spider, which weighs about as much as a child, and make your way back to Eientei as quickly as you can, before it can wake up on you. Or possibly worse, wake up in Eientei.
>You reach the front gates of Eientei without incident, pushing through the brush back to the road a bit more quickly now that you know the way.
>You stand outside the front doors of Eientei. Obvious exits are East and West. You don't think the Monkey Spider has stirred.

>You head into Eirin's Office as quickly as you can.
>"Ah, I wish you would knock befo-" Eirin says as you burst in. Then she looks at what you are carrying. You find yourself at a rare moment now. Eirin, immortal and ever level-headed Eirin, is completely dumbfounded and speechless. The look on her face is one you never thought you would see without some sort of proper Incident going on.

>"Well, I suppose I should get a cage, then," she say, standing from her desk.
>In short order, the monkey spider is placed inside a padlocked cage and sedated. Eirin then puts a blanket over the cage and sets it in the back. "This has become an interesting day," she says. "Perhaps I should consider letting you run around without a care more often. I presume that Hina got her package safely? And let's get you something for those bruises." She goes to one of the many cabinets and starts rifle through its contents.
