>"Still not going," says the second, crossing her arms.

>Take off sunglasses
>Doublecheck cards
>Head eastward

>You remove your Pair of Tinted Lenses. A couple of the faeries shy away from you. The world seems intolerably bright, but your eyes quickly adjust.
>Your spellcards are:
>Wave Sign: Mind Shaker
>Visionary Wave: Mind Blowing
>Lunatic Sign: Visionary Tuning
>Lunatic Gaze: Illusion Seeker
>Loafing Sign: Idling Wave
>Indolence: Mind Stopper
>Spread Sign: Invisible Full Moon
>Lunar Eyes: Tele-Mesmerism
>You examine the eastward part of the road, picking through the dense foilage, and soon discover a narrow path that lets you continue on.
>You fight your way through the forest, nearly tripping a few times and getting tangled more than once. Thankfully, your clothing is enough to protect you from any scratches, though lacking gloves means that you have to be especially careful with your hands.
>Zigging and zagging your way through, leaving the road a ways behind, you come to a clearing. Ahead of you, you can see strands of gossamer woven between the trees, forming a kind of web. However, it is not a two-dimensional weaving like a normal web, but rather somethign that looks almost like a crude frame a labyrinth. While there are no walls, a great amount of debris and snow are caught in it and make it a bit difficult to move freely through it. The snow, in particular, makes it sparkle in the sun. You estimate the web is about twenty feet across, and weaves a dozen or so trees together, as well as several rocks on the ground. Obvious exits are East, West, and North

>Fairly. But at a glance you can't tell if individual strands are opaque, or if its just due to having so much as once. Regardless, you really can't see into the web very well.

>Proceed further in, trying not to get any in our hair.

>You approach the web.
>Drawing closer, you can see the that the silk, for lack of a better term, is somewhat translucent. But the debris and the sheer amount of the stuff serves to make it difficult to everywhere inside. Taking a closer look, it's not really web-like at all, most of the silk is joined randomly to other things rather than to each other. It looks rather like a loose pile of chopsticks. Some of the strands, you note, cut across and seem to serve as tripwires and barriers. Trying to move about inside it will be tricky.

>Try to roll backwards and kick whatever is on top of us in that direction.

>You decide to do the latter first and hopes of making the hurting stop. You use the motion from the fall and use it to keep rolling, and throw the thing off you before it can pummel you too badly.
>You come up to your knees, and look over to see that the black blur appears to be a sort of monkey, a little less than half your size. Curiously, it seems to have two sets of arms, and two sets of legs. No wonder it took a liking to punching you. It launches itself back up to its feet and starts toward a tree. In the blink of an eye, it is latches onto the trunk and starts climbing.
