> You are Koakuma, Lesser Devil. You are employed as the assistant to a library, owned by Patchouli Knowledge. Here, in the Scarlet Devil Mansion, you've spent most of your time. Your worth hasn't been much more than the fairies that work here as maids, though Patchouli does acknowledge you more.
> You hail from Makai, and are likely a creation made by Shinki, the Goddess of Makai. Your main ability seems to be absorbing energy, usually from activities like fighting. You have others though, such as making a double of yourself and basic elemental magic. None near Patchouli's level, however...
> Your morning has started off... strange... First, you woke up to an outlandish note in many different writing styles, explaining that Patchouli was kidnapped, and that the captor, or at least whoever wrote the note, wants you to overthrow Remilia.
> Second, the note actually seems to be true so far. Patchouli hasn't been seen anywhere in the library, nor by any of the fairy maids. You've just finished your own search of the library having found further duplicates of the note in your room... However, you seem to have less now, only possessing 3 notes.
> You are in your small room within the Scarlet Devil Mansion's Library. You're dressed in your usual. A black skirt and vest with a white shirt underneath, and a red tie between them.

"Good morning, my dear Koakuma. If you're reading this, thank you! You don't know how annoying it'd be if I had to make a bunch of copies and scatter them around your current residence in places that you would HAVE to read at least the big important bit. Actually... maybe you did skip reading it... In that case, I left some in other places too, in the end.
To be brief, I've kidnapped Patchouli Knowledge. She's in my possession.
Now that you know (hopefully), if you want her back you'll have to do a few things for me. First, overthrow Remilia Scarlet as the head of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. I'll contact you again in your success for the next part..."
> No one knows.
> Past exploits
> Sultriness
> What kinds of energies can we and can we not absorb, and how long do we keep it for?
> You've tried your hand at and sometimes developed some profession in a few things, such as cooking, running a shop, being a lifeguard, and other things. Danmaku was not one of them, unfortunately...
> There was also a time where you got to recruit a bunch of fairy maids in bulk when most of the residents were out watching some fights, though the perfect candidate for a fairy maid wouldn't even let you approach her...
> Sultriness: High. There's no one around to try anything on, but that doesn't mean you can't keep some of your looks up. Your short skirt is a bit dangerous, but helps show your thigh-highs and legs more, not to mention the visible space between the former two or the undergarments... Were you wearing your longer dress, you'd probably be at a moderate to low level.
> Your body is as you keep it, stunning. You are frequently assumed to be a succubus, given your abilities and appearance. Your chest hasn't suddenly changed past it's filling size overnight, nor are there any parts of it that seem off.
> You haven't really encountered energies you couldn't absorb that you tried to, nor have you lost them from long storage.
> A small exception being energies of people actively trying to prevent you... It's harder then.
Relationships:
Shinki: Supposedly your creator and also mother...
Patchouli Knowledge: Your current Master. You work for her in the Scarlet Devil Mansion Library. She treats you better than the fairies, but the other main residents seem to be on another level... You learn magic from her sometimes.
Hong Meiling: The gate guard of the mansion. You hardly meet with her, as she's usually the wall of the mansion, and therefore, didn't really build up much of a relationship with her yet.
Izayoi Sakuya: The head maid of the mansion. Treats you in a strange way compared to the usual residents, likely given you aren't immediately loyal to it as you're in Patchouli's employment, not Remilia's... Nontheless, she is respectful, and you give her your respect as well.
Remilia Scarlet: The head of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. You don't have to obey her orders, and you don't think she'll try anything big against you. She and Patchouli are friends, which gives you reason to believe in your safety. She can still be intimidating...
Flandre Scarlet: The sister of the Scarlet Devil. You've heard of her, but thankfully haven't really met her much, if at all you recall. She's explained to be dangerous, destructive, and deadly.

> A few less notable humans... No one of the mansion aside from Patchouli, whom since then have avoided it. None with the major one, yet. Of course you couldn't with Patchouli, and there hasn't even been another chance to try.
> Daiyousei, as she were called. Despite most of the population of Misty Lake being recruited, she still seems to live there. You believe she'd help in the morale of the entire force, show the greatest proficiency in her work, and even become one of the toughest to get by against intruders. There hasn't been a big enough free time to seek her out even past being avoided however.
> You haven't absorbed people themselves, and aren't sure you could... She might also notice if you were trying to absorb all of her magic, as although you're fast at absorbing it, she might have a lot...
> It does include magic casted by books.
> You can work in either outfit.

So one feasible plan is to simply absorb Remilia and pretend like we overthrew her that way without actually bringing her to any harm. There doesn't appear to be any outward evidence of her being in us once the deed is done.
That being said, I am certainly open to other ideas (that do not involve telling anyone what's going on, since who knows what the perpetrator will do once they get wind).

//Sorry for not being here.
It's a feasible idea, yes, but the fact that the owner of that note said 'I will contact you again in your success [...]' means that they are probably, in some way or form, observing us, because I am pretty sure we don't know where to find them. Who knows what might happen to us if we pretend in front of that person/s. Though it's just an hypothesis.
I don't really have any relevant idea to speak of, given we don't have anyone of extreme trust to tell this to, to begin with, if that could be even be an option if we had such person.
That said... From the looks of it, Patchouli disappeared just before we woke or something, given no one seems alarmed in any way. If anything, I think it would be decent to firstly think of what to do concerning that in case we are questioned, or someone starts to notice the magician's absence. Say that she went outside, in one of those extremely rare times? We should dwelve on that. I am pretty sure we won't be able to 'overthrow' Remilia in one day... unless we manage to do that idea of taking her and fake it... though the rest of the mansion...
---
> Do Remilia and Patchouli have tea parties scheduled? Or do they happen upon fickle decision of the two?
> That being said, how often does Remilia visit Patchouli at her library?
> And how often does she meet with the other important figures (Sakuya, Meiling and Flandre)?
> As well as us? How often do we manage to cross looks and them noticing our presence enough to approach to us?
-
It is certainly possible someone is watching us somehow, though I wonder if they could really keep tabs on us if we say, snuck into Remi's room and closed the door behind us (since it wouldn't have any windows or light or anything like that).
It's also possible that, since Patchouli is cooped up in the library all the time, no one else has yet noticed her absence simply because they haven't had reason to go there.
In terms of potential alternate plans, telling anyone about the notes is out of the question, methinks. Asking a high-ranking employee (or a family member) to help overthrow the head of the house, regardless of note contents, will get us in a lot of trouble and ultimately do plenty more harm than good. That leaves (a) going out and blindly searching for Patchy, which seems futile, (b) actually succeeding in overthrowing Remi, which seems impossible, and (c) trying to fake like we've overthrown Remi, which seems difficult but within the realm of possibility.
(The absorption-abduction plan may also come with the benefit of being able to use Remilia's attacks in our defense, should the situation come to that, since we'll theoretically absorb her magic along with her.)
-
//Well, the most I can think of is: if we get to absorb her stuff, is that we use her ability to "manipulate fate". ~~Given we even find out how to use that properly~~ (
Given we even find out how to use that properly. Sorry, Discord ruined my life with these.) To get us be the head of the mansion. Otherwise, I would assume that, instead of attacking us or anything, this mysterious person will question the rest of the mansion to ascertain we are, indeed, she who rules (either by reluctance from part of the other figures, or actual allegiance).
So yea, I agree in not telling anyone about it.
Plus it feels more fun in terms of a game. I like this 'try to not get caught' stuff.
But what would be the best to be done in case Remilia herself notices Patche's absence? Come up with an excuse (that is, if she even wants to take us into account), spill the beans or... fake to be Patchouli?.
-

Stealth kidnapping mission! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnKeN9zIkoE) Just with no cardboard box if Sakuya suddenly appears behind us in the hallway or some such.
If Remi does figure out Patchy is gone, then I think it's worth showing her the notes at that point, since we don't really have a lot to lose.

Rgh, okay. I think I might have talked myself into being willing to talk to Remind about the situation. Maybe. I'm currently debating three different courses of action.
1) Play innocent and ask if Remi has seen Patchy, get dismissed after that, and fuck off to the library for an hour or so before coming back and trying again.
2) Same as #1 but without asking about Patchouli.
3) Asking for a closed-door audience with Remi, showing her the notes, and then trying to convince her to play along. (If we absorbed her, she could just go to sleep inside us, at the very least.)
-
//I would be okay with either of the two options, so serve yourself with the one you feel it's most fitting.
I am not too confident about telling her... I just don't feel she might be too willing to play along, even if it's for Patche (and specially if it's to keep her in such way).
> In what terms of a relationship are we with Remilia? Yes, we don't have to follow her orders, but have we at least given a good image of ourself to her? Being a good servant to her friend and all...
> Not literal image, of course. We know we give good visuals to people already as we are.
-
Okay, let's do library chores for an hour or so and then come back.
> "Alright. I will leave you to your sleep, then, Mistress."
-
//I would be okay with either of the two options, so serve yourself with the one you feel it's most fitting.
> You think your image is good...
Okay, let's do library chores for an hour or so and then come back.
> "Alright. I will leave you to your sleep, then, Mistress."
> "Perhaps I should see what Sakuya is up to. I don't enjoy the day too often anymore. Unless you've already seen her or she's busy?"
>_
-
> "I haven't seen the Head Maid at all today, unfortunately."
-
> "I haven't seen the Head Maid at all today, unfortunately."
> "Very well then."
>_
-
> "My apologies that I could not be more helpful."
-
> "My apologies that I could not be more helpful."
> "It's fine,I'm sure Patche needs you more anyways."
>_
-
> "... Don't worry Mistress. It's my pleasure to help with anything you might need."
-
> "... Don't worry Mistress. It's my pleasure to help with anything you might need."
> "You are dismissed."
>_
-
> "Make me."
> "Have a good day overall, Mistress."
> Bow to the door in front of us, and head back to the library.
-
> "Make me."
> "Have a good day overall, Mistress."
> Bow to the door in front of us, and head back to the library.
> You head back to the library after bowing...
>Nothing seems averse from last time you were here.
>_
-
> Make... our daily chores, as usual. As if nothing has happened.
> Do keep in mind, however, the time, and make sure we manage to count it down until we know an hour or so has passed ever since we started doing them.
-
> Make... our daily chores, as usual. As if nothing has happened.
> Do keep in mind, however, the time, and make sure we manage to count it down until we know an hour or so has passed ever since we started doing them.
> You quietly work around the library, doing what you believe Patchouli would tell you to for some time...
> "Hey~!" A chill runs up your spine as one unforgettable voice shatters the silence of the library. "I need some new books Patchouli!"
> Marisa Kirisame. It was only a matter of time...
>_
-
> How long has it been?
> How long did it take us to absorb that fairy? A few seconds, or closer to a minute?
> Do we know any sleeping spells?
-
> How long has it been?
> How long did it take us to absorb that fairy? A few seconds, or closer to a minute?
> Do we know any sleeping spells?
> Half an hour, at least.
> A minute or so.including the pause.
> You do.
>_
-
> How does the sleeping spell work?
-
> How does the sleeping spell work?
> It's a simple spell that makes one feel more tired. It's not usually useful...
>_
-
> How long does it take to prepare and cast?
> If we create a second self, can either of our selves do it?
-
> How long does it take to prepare and cast?
> If we create a second self, can either of our selves do it?
> A few seconds.
> Yes.
>_
-
> Create a second version of ourselves, then.
> Once this is done, begin heading to where the voice is coming from, with our second self following behind from a distance. Make sure to use the bookshelves for cover; we don't want to be noticed.
-
> Create a second version of ourselves, then.
> Once this is done, begin heading to where the voice is coming from, with our second self following behind from a distance. Make sure to use the bookshelves for cover; we don't want to be noticed.
> You create another you...
> And advance towards the source of the voice.
> The witch quickly flies past your line of sight... Into another aisle of books.
>_
-
> Have both of our selves prepare the sleeping spell and hold it.
> Have our main self chase after Marisa down the aisle she just went through. Keep our duplicate self at a distance still.
-
> Have both of our selves prepare the sleeping spell and hold it.
> Have our main self chase after Marisa down the aisle she just went through. Keep our duplicate self at a distance still.
> You prepare the spell...
> You start after Marisa, letting your other self keep still.
> The magician far outspeeds you...
>_
-
> Can we see her, at least?
> If so, cast that spell.
-
> Can we see her, at least?
> If so, cast that spell.
> Yes.
> You cast the spell, but it hardly seems to do anything...
> She zips down another aisle...
>_
-
> Prepare the same spell again.
> Chase after her, but try running perpendicular to the aisles so we pass by many aisles at once, rather than trying to chase her down each aisle directly after her.
-
> Prepare the same spell again.
> Chase after her, but try running perpendicular to the aisles so we pass by many aisles at once, rather than trying to chase her down each aisle directly after her.
> You prepare the spell once again, chasing Marisa.
> You can't find her...
>_
-
> Stop our main self's chasing, then.
> Have both ourselves close our eyes and listen for activity.
-
> Stop our main self's chasing, then.
> Have both ourselves close our eyes and listen for activity.
> You stop and listen...
> You can hear commotion, but it's far...
>_
-
> Sigh.
> Begin running both selves in the direction of the commotion.
-
> Sigh.
> Begin running both selves in the direction of the commotion.
> You both start after the commotion...
> There seems to be a danmaku battle going on.
>_
-
> That's fine. That's good! It'll serve as a distraction.
> Keep up the pursuit, with our clone self a distance behind still.
-
> That's fine. That's good! It'll serve as a distraction.
> Keep up the pursuit, with our clone self a distance behind still.
> You keep on... You can see some fairy maids getting pelted by an orb, while Marisa isn't in sight. There are a few books missing from the shelves...
>_
-
> Based on where the orb came from, continue our main self in pursuit of Marisa, but run at an angle that doesn't involve running straight toward where the orb came from. Keep our other self in pursuit, prepared to take an alternate route to get behind Marisa.
-
> Based on where the orb came from, continue our main self in pursuit of Marisa, but run at an angle that doesn't involve running straight toward where the orb came from. Keep our other self in pursuit, prepared to take an alternate route to get behind Marisa.
> You keep the chase up...
> Time passes between seeing the orb and Marisa. You haven't seen the latter in a bit, and the orb seems to be quickly moving around to attack the fairies...
>_
-
> Grah...
> How many entrances are there to the library?
-
> Grah...
> How many entrances are there to the library?
> You think at least two proper. One to the main floor and one to, well, the basement.
>_
-
> Fire some arrowhead danmaku at the orb, then hoof it to the main floor entrance.
> Send our other self to the basement entrance.
-
> Fire some arrowhead danmaku at the orb, then hoof it to the main floor entrance.
> Send our other self to the basement entrance.
> You shoot at the orb, hitting it a bit in it's focus on the fairy maids, to which it starts to fire danmaku your way. A lot spread out, but lots of space in-between.
> Your other self heads for the basement entrance as you go for the main one...
> You don't spot Marisa herself near either entrance...
>_
-
> Have both selves close the doors and, if possible, lock them.
> Have both selves then turn around and guard the doors. She has to come in one of these directions to get out...
-
> Have both selves close the doors and, if possible, lock them.
> Have both selves then turn around and guard the doors. She has to come in one of these directions to get out...
> You both close the doors, guarding them...
> After a bit, the fairy commotion stops, and danmaku doesn't seem to be fired anymore...
>_
-
> Are there any windows in here?
> If so, can we see any broken ones?
> Keep guarding and waiting.
-
> Are there any windows in here?
> If so, can we see any broken ones?
> Keep guarding and waiting.
> Yes.
> No.
> You keep on... Nothing... New?
> Nothing...
>_
-
> Have our main self return to where the orb was. Leave our other self in guarding position.
-
> Have our main self return to where the orb was. Leave our other self in guarding position.
> You return to the orb...
> However, it's gone. Some of the fairies seem confused...
>_
-
> Have both selves concentrate to try and find out any other kind of strange sounds at the distance and whatnot, just like before.
-
> Have both selves concentrate to try and find out any other kind of strange sounds at the distance and whatnot, just like before.
> You concentrate...
> Nothing...
>_
-
> Head for the closest fairy maid to us, making sure she sees us with time so we don't scare her.
> And, in case she is giving us her back, just call for her with a low "hey" while we wave.
-
> Head for the closest fairy maid to us, making sure she sees us with time so we don't scare her.
> And, in case she is giving us her back, just call for her with a low "hey" while we wave.
> You get to the nearest fairy maid...
>_
-
> Did she noticed us?
>> If not, lightly call her.
>> And ONCE she did, speak properly, but not too loud for all the library to find out: "Do you know which direction the attacking orb took?"
-
> Did she noticed us?
>> If not, lightly call her.
>> And ONCE she did, speak properly, but not too loud for all the library to find out: "Do you know which direction the attacking orb took?"
> Yes.
> "I-It poofed! We... We defeated it!"
>_
-
> "Oh? Is that so? Good job then."
> Flash a thumbs up to them.
> "I am still in the chase of the culprit, though, so are any of you available to help me on that?"
-
> "Oh? Is that so? Good job then."
> Flash a thumbs up to them.
> "I am still in the chase of the culprit, though, so are any of you available to help me on that?"
> "Chase?"
>_
-
> Nod.
> "Yes. I don't hear her anymore, which is why I would need some extra help to maybe find her."
-
> Nod.
> "Yes. I don't hear her anymore, which is why I would need some extra help to maybe find her."
> "I thought she already got away."
> "Where's Patchouli?"
> "Yeah, we gotta tell her we beat Marisa's balls at least!"
> "There were more than one?"
> "She had two with her on the way here. I don't know where the first went... Or maybe the one we beat was the first?"
>_
-
> "She had... two?"
> Blink, a bit in concern.
> "I see... Well, I would want to make sure she didn't got away, or else Patchouli-sama might get upset. I closed the two doors that let enter and exit the library, but I haven't met her in any of them yet... which means she probably used a window, maybe. That is, if she already got away, or maybe she left before I arrived to them."
-
> "She had... two?"
> Blink, a bit in concern.
> "I see... Well, I would want to make sure she didn't got away, or else Patchouli-sama might get upset. > "It could be any! She was super fast!"
>_
-
> "Mmm."
> Adopt a thinking pose.
> "... I'm going to inspect the windows. I would like all of you to search the aisles. I did hit her with a sleeping spell...she might have just finally fallen to it."
-
> "Mmm."
> Adopt a thinking pose.
> "... I'm going to inspect the windows. I would like all of you to search the aisles. I did hit her with a sleeping spell...she might have just finally fallen to it."
> "You can put people to sleep?"
>_
-
> "Not very well, but yes. Let us get to searching. Go see me at the entrance to the basement if any of you find her."
> Take flight and head to the windows.
-
> "Not very well, but yes. Let us get to searching. Go see me at the entrance to the basement if any of you find her."
> Take flight and head to the windows.
> You start for the windows, scanning the ones you see so far.
> None over here are broken nor open...
>_
-
> Check all of them until we see something suspicious or we run out of windows to check (out we get interrupted by someone).
-
> Check all of them until we see something suspicious or we run out of windows to check (out we get interrupted by someone).
> You observe each one carefully...
> "We found something!" One of the Maids speaks.
>_
-
> "Very good! I'm on my way!"
> Hurry toward the speaking maid.
-
> "Very good! I'm on my way!"
> Hurry toward the speaking maid.
> You hurry, arriving at the entrance to your room.
> There are a few Fairy maids here, watching the door, while much more are arriving.
> Against the door are a few books, seemingly covered in Ivy. Against the nearest wall to your door is a cardboard box.
>_
-
> Those weren't there when we left our room earlier, were they?
> Check the books. Are they the library's books?
> Check the box for any identifying information. If there is nothing actively suspicious, open the box.
-
> Those weren't there when we left our room earlier, were they?
> Check the books. Are they the library's books?
> Check the box for any identifying information. If there is nothing actively suspicious, open the box.
> They weren't. None of them.
> They do seem to be. One you can identify as a book about gravity, and another mostly readable cover about the sky, such as clouds and the atmosphere.
> You examine the box... There's a hole or two, possibly for grabbing, but you can peek in.
>_
-
> Peek inside, then.
-
> Peek inside, then.
> The inside is dark, but you can see a sack, holding what looks like books and something else atop the opening of the bag
>_
-
> Open the box all the way,
-
> Open the box all the way,
>You open the box.
> Indeed there is a bag filled with books, however, there is also a snake-like creature on the bag.
> "Oh!" The fairies speak in surprise, as the Ivy on the books begins to grow rapidly.
>_
-
> "What the-"
> Back off from the box a bit.
> Is the snake asleep or awake, if we can tell?
-
> "What the-"
> Back off from the box a bit.
> Is the snake asleep or awake, if we can tell?
> You back up.
> The snake is awake.and doesn't seem very happy.
> The vines begin to entangle some of the fairy maids, starting from their legs
>_
>_
-
> "H-Hey! Leave them alone!"
> Prepare and cast a sleeping spell on the snake first, to stop it from doing anything untoward.
> Then check the vines again.
-
> "H-Hey! Leave them alone!"
> Prepare and cast a sleeping spell on the snake first, to stop it from doing anything untoward.
> Then check the vines again.
> The snake seems to hiss at you, but slowly succumbs to sleep from your spell.
> The Ivy is dormant, and the maids kick them off to free themselves.
> You hear something hit the ground behind you.
>_
-
> Whirl around. What seems to have made noise?
-
> Whirl around. What seems to have made noise?
> You spin.
> It's... A bottle?
> The bottle seems to explode in a bright flash. You're blinded!
> The air also feels a bit funny.
> There's the sound of something else falling, now to your new behind
>_
-
> Rgh...!
> Can we sense any energy from whatever just fell behind us?
> Can we sense any energy in the air?
> Have our other self come running. Hopefully she can still see!
-
> Rgh...!
> Can we sense any energy from whatever just fell behind us?
> Can we sense any energy in the air?
> Yes and yes..
>_
-
> Have our other self come running to help out!
> In the meantime, try diving on whatever just fell behind us, using the energy we sense to guide us to its location, and absorb the energy from it.
-
> Have our other self come running to help out!
> In the meantime, try diving on whatever just fell behind us, using the energy we sense to guide us to its location, and absorb the energy from it.
> You rush for your other self, while she dives towards the new energy.
> You manage to tackle unfamiliar fabric and skin, at the very least ensuring it's not a fairy, and begin to absorb energy from it.
> "That's interesting." Marisa speaks among the fairy panic, as your magic energy starts to sap away from you, alongside energy being focused in one spot near who you have grabbed.
>_
>_
-
> Have our other self continue toward our main self in the background of all main self actions.
> Are we being drained of our own magic, or just what we absorbed from Marisa previously?
> Ignore her comments, and instead prepare and cast the sleep spell on her.
-
> Have our other self continue toward our main self in the background of all main self actions.
> Are we being drained of our own magic, or just what we absorbed from Marisa previously?
> Ignore her comments, and instead prepare and cast the sleep spell on her.
> You continue, spotting what seems to be a large smoke cloud.
> Only the latter, thought it seems to stop now.
> You prepare, readying the sleep spell...
> "Love sign..."
> You feel the energy pressed against your chest.
> You cast, though the energy still persists. Actually, it seems like it becomes somewhat stronger.
> "Bewitched Weapon." Marisa speaks in a significantly different tone and voice.
> You've absorbed some of her, but it will still take a while to do so completely.
>_
-
> In the background of other main self actions, continue repeatedly preparing and casting that sleep spell on Marisa.
> Switch our energy absorption focus to whatever is pressed against our chest, if it isn't already focused there. (If we can't cast sleep spells and absorb at the same, prioritize absorption.)
> Can we see yet? Try looking around.
-
> In the background of other main self actions, continue repeatedly preparing and casting that sleep spell on Marisa.
> Switch our energy absorption focus to whatever is pressed against our chest, if it isn't already focused there. (If we can't cast sleep spells and absorb at the same, prioritize absorption.)
> Can we see yet? Try looking around.
> You keep preparing, casting when you can.
> You can see, though it still hurts. Notable things you can actually see, within what seems to be a dense cloud from your other self's perspective, is a dark light against your chest, and some of Marisa, who's eyes might be closed. The dark light seems to come from her Hakkero, but also, four orbs.
> "Dark Spark." Marisa speaks, followed by intense pain after getting out another sleep cast.
> You don't feel yourself within the cloud conscious anymore, while a black beam of energy shoots out from the cloud, breaking through the roof of the library. You're close enough to feel some of the force from the origin. You could also dive into the cloud now, but Marisa is still deeper.
> There are maids escaping the cloud
>_
-
> Crap, hopefully we're just knocked out instead of killed outright...
> Prepare another sleep spell and dive into the cloud, searching for Marisa.
-
> Crap, hopefully we're just knocked out instead of killed outright...
> Prepare another sleep spell and dive into the cloud, searching for Marisa.
> You proceed in, getting the spell ready...
> You can hardly see in here...
> The fairies have started to fire danmaku in panic
>_
-
> Get to the wall and use it as a guide to get us to the door area where Marisa was. Use our energy sensing to help get us there too.
-
> Get to the wall and use it as a guide to get us to the door area where Marisa was. Use our energy sensing to help get us there too.
> You head for the wall, sticking to it and moving along it...
> You reach your door, but don't feel the books or Marisa here.
>_
-
> Can we sense any unusual energies in the immediate vicinity?
-
> Can we sense any unusual energies in the immediate vicinity?
> Yes. One host of such on the other side of your door.
>_
-
> Find the door and head through it.
-
> Find the door and head through it.
> You grab the handle and open it up.
> "Ah." It's Sakuya... "Pardon the intrusion, but I wanted to get near without being in the crossfire."
>_
-
> Relax a little.
> "Miss Sakuya...phew. The more the merrier, really. I've no idea where she went...she might have escaped through the hole she just blew in the roof."
-
> Relax a little.
> "Miss Sakuya...phew. The more the merrier, really. I've no idea where she went...she might have escaped through the hole she just blew in the roof."
> "Let's calm down the maids first."
>_
-
> "All right. Sorry about the mess."
> Head back into the library and through the cloud to survey the situation.
-
> "All right. Sorry about the mess."
> Head back into the library and through the cloud to survey the situation.
> You return to the library and the cloud.
> "Everyone, calm down. I am here." Sakuya speaks, trying to stop the fairies verbally.
>_
-
> Check our energies, to see if there is something different. As in, we took anything or whatever.
> Help Sakuya on the matter she is handling. At least some.
-
> Check our energies, to see if there is something different. As in, we took anything or whatever.
> Help Sakuya on the matter she is handling. At least some.
> You don't seem any different...
> How would you like to help out?
>_
-
> "It's going to be okay, everyone! Please calm down!"
-
> "Miss Sakuya is here!"
> Be more cheerful about it, to see if that makes it better for them to see their higher up is here.
-
> "It's going to be okay, everyone! Please calm down!"
> "Miss Sakuya is here!"
> Be more cheerful about it, to see if that makes it better for them to see their higher up is here.
> "C-Chief Maid?" The fairies question.
> "Where, I can't see."
> "Everyone, follow our voices. But not too quickly." Sakuya began to walk forwards.
>_
-
> "Yea! Miss Sakuya will take care of the situation, so no need to worry!"
> Whisper to her: "Trying to get them happy for you to be here with some excitement, at least."
-
> "Yea! Miss Sakuya will take care of the situation, so no need to worry!"
> Whisper to her: "Trying to get them happy for you to be here with some excitement, at least."
> "Thank you."
> Sakuya continues, until out of the smoke...
> "Come on now. This way."
>_
-
> Do we know if our main self died, or just got knocked out?
> Follow along behind her.
-
> And try to keep on a nice attitude for them. Unless said otherwise by Sakuya.
-
> Do we know if our main self died, or just got knocked out?
> Follow along behind her.
> And try to keep on a nice attitude for them. Unless said otherwise by Sakuya.
> You think the latter...
> You follow, as the fairies start to come out of the smoke.
>_
-
> Can we sense where our main self is?
> Do we have any way of contacting or re-energizing our main self?
> Are there any windows near the smoke? If so, open them.
-
> Would... trying to unmake our original self make US the new original self, if that is even possible?
> Do we even look any different from the main one?
-
> Can we sense where our main self is?
> Do we have any way of contacting or re-energizing our main self?
> Are there any windows near the smoke? If so, open them.
> Would... trying to unmake our original self make US the new original self, if that is even possible?
> Do we even look any different from the main one?
> You can't.
> You don't think so.
> There aren't...
> Such isn't possible...
> You do. Your hair and height are shorter.
>_
-
> Click our tongue disapprovingly.
> "I think there's another in there that won't come out by herself. I'm sorry, Miss Sakuya, but could you handle this for a moment while I search?"
> Dive back into the smoke and begin searching along the floor for our main self.
-
> Click our tongue disapprovingly.
> "I think there's another in there that won't come out by herself. I'm sorry, Miss Sakuya, but could you handle this for a moment while I search?"
> Dive back into the smoke and begin searching along the floor for our main self.
> "Another?"
> You start to search...
> You start to come to... simply within one of the hallways of the mansion...
>_
-
> Have our main self groan, sit up, and look around. What is the state of the immediate vicinity, and who and what are around us?
-
> "Ah..."
---
> Once we manage to come to our sense, make sure we aren't being... dragged by someone or anything.
> And... how much is the pain-o-meter?
-
> Have our main self groan, sit up, and look around. What is the state of the immediate vicinity, and who and what are around us?
> "Ah..."
---
> Once we manage to come to our sense, make sure we aren't being... dragged by someone or anything.
> And... how much is the pain-o-meter?
> "Ah?"
> Everything hurts a lot... Especially the front of your body. You want to go back to being unconscious...
>Trying to sit up does not help this at all.
> There's a blanket over you, and a couple maids are looking at you.
>_
-
> "My other me got blasted off..."
> Pout a tiny bit.
> "It hurts royal levels of much... How mean..."
---
> T-Take sit, then. Just sit up.
> Look around to the maids and, if we are okay, wave non-chalantly with a bit of a weak smile. "D-Don't worry I am... uh, partially okay..."
-
> "My other me got blasted off..."
> "Ah. Do take it easy then..."
> It hurts to try to...
>_
-
> "Ah, dear... Miss Sakuya, can you handle the situation over there? I might need to actually give some physical help to myself..."
---
> To do anything?
> Then try to... not move and stay lying there. Look at them, so they can see we are not dead...
> Feel for our energies if that doesn't take much effort from us. At least physical.
-
> In particular, check for any foreign energies inside us.
-
> "Ah, dear... Miss Sakuya, can you handle the situation over there? I might need to actually give some physical help to myself..."

> To do anything?
> Then try to... not move and stay lying there. Look at them, so they can see we are not dead...
> Feel for our energies if that doesn't take much effort from us. At least physical.
> In particular, check for any foreign energies inside us.
> Sakuya nods.
> Again, you'd rather still be out of it...
> You at least make eye contact...
> quite a lot of your magic is gone... As is your life.
> There is a bit of foreign energy. Though it seems to be going away slowly.
>_
-
> Is the foreign energy inside us, or just around us? (If it is around us, try absorbing it into us.)
> Can we tell what the source of the foreign energy is?
-
> Quickly head to where is our main self!

> Can we feel if this foreign energy is... bad?
> If not... maybe we could use it to help ourself and not... die? Or would that not help in any way...
-
> Quickly head to where is our main self!

> Is the foreign energy inside us, or just around us? (If it is around us, try absorbing it into us.)
> Can we tell what the source of the foreign energy is?
> You start for the halls...
> It gives a Somewhat similar feeling to the pain in your front...
> It's inside.
>_
-
> Do we have any kind of healing spells or the like?
> If so, and if it's easy to prepare *right now*, start doing so as we get to where our main self is.
> Harmful, would we say?
-
> "...where...was I...?"

> Do we have any kind of healing spells or the like?
> If so, and if it's easy to prepare *right now*, start doing so as we get to where our main self is.
> Harmful, would we say?
> "...where...was I...?"
> Yes.again, simply minor.
> You'd assume so from the connection...
> "Right here."
> "And you're nuuude."
>_
-
> Can we actively trace the origin of the foreign energy? Like, was any sort of energy trail left in the air that we can follow?
> Stay silent for a couple of moments, then sigh and cover our more sensitive areas with our hands.
-
> Continue on with the preparation of the spell, even if it's minor. What we have to do is keep our other self alive!
> Well, we have a blanket that covers us right now, no? So... try to not move too much to not have more pain than needed.
-
> Have our other self change course and head to our bedroom instead, to retrieve a full change of clothes.

> What outfit will you get for yourself?
>_

> Just the one we can get quicker, let's not be picky...
> But if it's for that matter, just the one we have right now.

> But if it's for that matter, just the one we have right now.

> Do we have individual reserves of magic in each of our clones? Or is it shared?

> Your magic is one, until you make another self, who then has her own magic, borrowed from you.

> Yes.
> "Uh... I think the library is down there." A fairy points to somewhere you'd rather not try to look towards.

> Start taking the route the laser destroyed to get to our main self!

> "Well she's not talking or anything now..."
> The other you is here in the hallway now.

> There isn't.
> "Oh." She says as you dress with the change your other self has brought.
>_

> "No. She hasn't said anything since that grumble."

> It... seems to work as she appears next to you.
> "Eh? I'm back?" She questions.
>_

> Again, it's gradual, and you're still going...
> You stop, and start to change her energy back into yours...

-

> No.
> You unmake the clone and give the second fairy her energy back..
> "What was all that?" The second asks.
>_
-
> Hmm...
> Try creating a clone of the first fairy by focusing on both her energy and our own energy. Maybe it'll be a clone we can control, or perhaps someone that's a combination of us and the fairy. > "Hey there..."
> Shared... So we share control over that body? As well as thoughts and such?

> You slow and retrieve the note, reading it...
"Hey, you still with me? Good job on your victory over Remilia. You've gotten good fast. But, there are others yet stronger than you. Might controls everything, and without it, you cannot protect anything, let alone yourself. If you want to get Patchouli back, show this might by defeating strong foes. You may have overthrown Remilia, but I want to see you best others in combat, even if you did somehow best Remilia in combat as well...
Win a few times against strong foes and you'll receive your next prompt. Don't worry, you'll have someone strong with you just in case..."
> "Helloooo?" You hear someone's voice at one of the entrances to the library. A few fairies scatter away from that direction.
> Sakuya doesn't seem to be in the library anymore, from your glances around.

> "Mmm... They were right... She is gone." The voice questions.
> After a bit, you spot the speaker. Flandre...

> "It's... still bright outside, Y-Young mistress." A fairy maid speaks.
> "Nu uh! It's super cloudy."
> "I can't even tell where the sun is!"

Anyone is able to jump in or out at any time. (I was actually refraining from posting for exactly this reason!) Feel free to post something if you have an idea you'd like to try.

Glad to hear that! I don't really have ideas right now, but I might try taking part if I happen to get some later on :)

> Head downstairs toward where Flan's room is, stopping a safe distance from the door. Examine the mansion along the way to see if she has caused any further destruction in her temper tantrum.
> Once we can see her room's door, how does it look?

> How does the place look?
> Head downstairs toward where Flan's room is, stopping a safe distance from the door. Examine the mansion along the way to see if she has caused any further destruction in her temper tantrum.
> Once we can see her room's door, how does it look?
> You're in one of the hallways. There's nothing special about here.
> You start into the basement, everything seeming untouched by her. Though, something stops you before you can get to the door.
> Flan is in her room with, well, no door in sight, aside from a few shards. She's letting her anger out on some of her toys, but you can feel murderous intent seeping over towards you..
>_
-
> Has she spotted us?
> Gasp to ourselves and start running down the hall toward her room.
-
> Has she spotted us?
> Gasp to ourselves and start running down the hall toward her room.
> No.
> You gasp and start for her room.
> To which the vampire glares back towards your way, the doll in her hands becoming dust.
>_
-
> Put up our hands in front of us and slow down a bit, but continue progressing toward her room.
> "Young Mistress! Honey! Please calm down! I've been rethinking this..."
-
> Put up our hands in front of us and slow down a bit, but continue progressing toward her room.
> "Young Mistress! Honey! Please calm down! I've been rethinking this..."
> "Go rethink somewhere else." Flan stands up, starting towards you.
>_
-
> Stop moving, but don't back up.
> "Look...what if I kept you hidden, and out of the sunlight?"
-
> Stop moving, but don't back up.
> "Look...what if I kept you hidden, and out of the sunlight?"
> "I'm going out my way." She starts to head past you.
>_
-
> "Young Mistress, please...I promise you can come with me if you let me keep you hidden. No one has to know, and you won't get in any trouble after it's all over."
-
> "Young Mistress, please...I promise you can come with me if you let me keep you hidden. No one has to know, and you won't get in any trouble after it's all over."
> Flandre seems to ignore you, starting for the main floor...
>_
-
> Follow.
> "Please...Young Mistress, I'm sorry...I need you..."
-
> Follow.
> "Please...Young Mistress, I'm sorry...I need you..."
> You follow, but Flan continues to forget your presence.
>_
-
> "I'm sorry for everything I said..."
> Continue following until she reacts appreciably.
-
> "I'm sorry for everything I said..."
> Continue following until she reacts appreciably.
> "I'm sorry but I can't play. I'm sorry but you can't go out. I'm sorry but you must go to your room. Is anything you guys ever actually say a real apology?" Flan turns back to you. "You'd still want to put me to sleep if I agreed to it, wouldn't you? Or keep me hidden and away from everything like big sis does. Well I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna help you. I'm gonna go out and find Patchouli on my own. Then she'll owe me."
> Flandre resumes her path, starting for the upper level.
>_
-
> Sigh.
> "Very well, Young Mistress..."
-
> Sigh.
> "Very well, Young Mistress..."
> "Hmph..."
> The vampire continues upward...
>_
-
> Follow in silence. At the very least, she'll know where to go...
-
> Follow in silence. At the very least, she'll know where to go...
> You follow...
> Flan's progress towards wherever she was going seems to be stopped, as Sakuya shows up, possibly done with her point in the library.
> "Young mistress?" She questions.
> "Ah... Sakuya..."
> "Is there something you need? You should know you may simply call me or send one of the nearby fairy maids."
>_
-
> "My apologies, Miss Sakuya. The Young Mistress is helping me run an errand for Lady Patchouli. It is rather time-sensitive, which is why we did not flash anyone down."
-
> "My apologies, Miss Sakuya. The Young Mistress is helping me run an errand for Lady Patchouli. It is rather time-sensitive, which is why we did not flash anyone down."
> "I would actually need a parasol, if you wouldn't mind getting me one, Sakuya." Flandre speaks with a bit of class.
> "Might I ask when this errand was discussed?"
>_
-
> "Shortly after Kirisame's invasion."
-
> "Shortly after Kirisame's invasion."
> "Today? You found Miss Patchouli and she asked you, but hadn't returned yet?"
>_
-
> "I found a note she left for me that I hadn't noticed previously."
-
> "I found a note she left for me that I hadn't noticed previously."
> "May I see it? You do know I am quite proficient at time-sensitive tasks. It almost hurts to not be considered when I was finishing things in the library up."
>_
-
> Pull out the first note we received from the abductors (the one that told us to overthrow Remilia), but keep it close and with the writing facing us so the other two cannot read it.
> "If you truly wish to. I imagine Lady Patchouli thought your time was better spent here, though, given your skill set compared to mine."
-
> Pull out the first note we received from the abductors (the one that told us to overthrow Remilia), but keep it close and with the writing facing us so the other two cannot read it.
> "If you truly wish to. I imagine Lady Patchouli thought your time was better spent here, though, given your skill set compared to mine."
> "The friend of the mistress is an important matter as well. I believe she would want me to aid in searching for her, if she were awake and notified of her absence."
>_
-
> Blink.
> Put the note away.
> "Well, if THAT'S what you mean, then you're perfectly welcome to join us."
-
> Blink.
> Put the note away.
> "Well, if THAT'S what you mean, then you're perfectly welcome to join us."
> You return the note.
> "An errand for Lady Patchouli could possibly hint towards where she may have vanished."
> "Either way, I'll need something to block the sunlight..." Flandre reminds.
>_
-
> Can we sense absorbable energy from Sakuya, similar to that of Remilia and those fairies we previously absorbed?
> "My previous offer still stands, Young Mistress. But a parasol would probably be a better choice."
-
> Can we sense absorbable energy from Sakuya, similar to that of Remilia and those fairies we previously absorbed?
> "My previous offer still stands, Young Mistress. But a parasol would probably be a better choice."
> Yes.
> "Previous offer?" Sakuya inquires.
> "I'll choose the parasol. Again, I'm going outside." A bit of Flandre's irritation leaks.
>_
-
> Nod.
> "Yes, I understand. Hopefully we won't be taken as a roving band of thugs, though, given the kidnappers told me to go around beating strong people if I wanted to get Lady Patchouli back."
-
> Nod.
> "Yes, I understand. Hopefully we won't be taken as a roving band of thugs, though, given the kidnappers told me to go around beating strong people if I wanted to get Lady Patchouli back."
> "Beating around strong people?"
> "It sounds like we would be thugs then..." Flandre thinks.
>_
-
> "Yes. Ah..."
> Close our eyes and look as though we're concentrating.
> "If...I want to get Patchouli back, I must 'defeat strong foes'. If I win...'a few times' against them, I'll get another prompt."
> Reopen our eyes with a nod.
> "That's basically what it said."
-
> "Yes. Ah..."
> Close our eyes and look as though we're concentrating.
> "If...I want to get Patchouli back, I must 'defeat strong foes'. If I win...'a few times' against them, I'll get another prompt."
> Reopen our eyes with a nod.
> "That's basically what it said."
> "Hm... Well, perhaps they want you to get stronger and fight you for her in the end?"
> "T-That!" Flandre jumps.
> "Is something the matter?"
> "That... that means she'll have to do a one on one? And I'll just have to sit back? What if she loses. Do you think they'd allow me to fight?"
> "Hm..." Sakuya thinks.
>_
-
> Open our mouth like we're going to say something, then close it an adopt a thinking pose.
> "...Can we discuss the situation in private? I...may have an idea, but it's not one I feel comfortable talking openly about."
-
> Open our mouth like we're going to say something, then close it an adopt a thinking pose.
> "...Can we discuss the situation in private? I...may have an idea, but it's not one I feel comfortable talking openly about."
> "Between the two of you, or the three of us? Or perhaps, the two of us?" Sakuya asks.
>_
-
> "All three of us. In one of our rooms should be fine."
-
> "All three of us. In one of our rooms should be fine."
> Sakuya nods, waiting.
> "Well, not my room... I've been getting a bit..." Flandre looks off.
>_
-
> Smile a bit.
> "Not a worry, Young Mistress."
> Look to Sakuya.
> "Yours or mine?"
-
> Smile a bit.
> "Not a worry, Young Mistress."
> Look to Sakuya.
> "Yours or mine?"
> "I haven't been to yours too often. We can go to mine, if you'd like."
>_
-
> "Sure. Lead the way, Miss Sakuya."
> Follow Sakuya to her room.
-
> "Sure. Lead the way, Miss Sakuya."
> Follow Sakuya to her room.
> The maid departs, the two of you following behind...
> Soon, you enter her simple room. It's extremely tidy, and pretty large.
>_
-
> Make sure the door is closed, and that we are away from it, further into the room.
> Speak at a low volume.
> "So...I would rather this knowledge not be spread, but I have an energy absorption ability. It has largely developed due to the saturation of atmospheric energy that is regularly in the library. I...recently discovered it can be applied to people."
-
> Make sure the door is closed, and that we are away from it, further into the room.
> Speak at a low volume.
> "So...I would rather this knowledge not be spread, but I have an energy absorption ability. It has largely developed due to the saturation of atmospheric energy that is regularly in the library. I...recently discovered it can be applied to people."
> Sakuya blinks.
> "Energy absorption?" Flandre asks.
>_
-
> Nod.
> "I can simply take it into myself, and then have access to it for my own user. I can also fully integrate it with myself once I've taken it in, but that's a separate process. And, well, obviously, I wouldn't do that to a person."
-
> Nod.
> "I can simply take it into myself, and then have access to it for my own user. I can also fully integrate it with myself once I've taken it in, but that's a separate process. And, well, obviously, I wouldn't do that to a person."
> "I wouldn't suggest doing that with people... Who knows what could happen." Sakuya says.
>_
-
> "Oh, I've already tested it a couple of times with fairy maids. They ended up just fine."
-
> "Oh, I've already tested it a couple of times with fairy maids. They ended up just fine."
> "You have... With who's permission?" Sakuya frowns a bit.
>_
-
> Blanche a bit.
> "Oh, uhh...No one was around at the time, and I didn't want to tell anyone about this ability at all anyway..."
-
> Blanche a bit.
> "Oh, uhh...No one was around at the time, and I didn't want to tell anyone about this ability at all anyway..."
> "Not even asking the fairy maids?"
>_
-
> "I did at least ask them, yes."
-
> "I did at least ask them, yes."
> "Are they still in now?"
>_
-
> Shake our head.
> "No, I did not keep them for very long."
-
> Shake our head.
> "No, I did not keep them for very long."
> "Ah, good."
> "Why bring this up now?" Flan asks.
>_
-
> "Because it means we can influence how we present ourselves, if we want. Specifically, how many of us appear to be out and about searching for Lady Patchouli."
-
> "Because it means we can influence how we present ourselves, if we want. Specifically, how many of us appear to be out and about searching for Lady Patchouli."
> "I see..." Sakuya speaks up.
> "Well I'm not sticking inside anyone. I'm going out physically."
>_
-
> Nod to Flan.
> "Very well, Young Mistress."
> Look to Sakuya.
> "What do you think, Miss Sakuya?"
-
> Nod to Flan.
> "Very well, Young Mistress."
> Look to Sakuya.
> "What do you think, Miss Sakuya?"
> "I am curious..."
>_
-
> Nod and hold out a hand.
> "Very well. If you wish to try it, take my hand, and I'll do the rest. You'll be able to speak to me in my head, though I may not respond once we're out in public, to keep your presence hidden."
-
> Nod and hold out a hand.
> "Very well. If you wish to try it, take my hand, and I'll do the rest. You'll be able to speak to me in my head, though I may not respond once we're out in public, to keep your presence hidden."
> Sakuya nods, taking your hand.
>_
-
> Fully absorb Sakuya's life essence into ourselves.
-
> Fully absorb Sakuya's life essence into ourselves.
> You repeat the process you performed on the Fairy maids, on Sakuya...
> Flan seems to have a skeptical, but interested look.
>_
-
> Look to Flan with a smile on our face.
> "And that is all there is to it."
-
> Look to Flan with a smile on our face.
> "And that is all there is to it."
> "Hmph... And how does she get out?"
>_
-
> "I let her out when she wishes."
-
> "I let her out when she wishes."
> "Hmm..."
> ("What are the benefits to this?") Sakuya inquires.
>_
-
> Are Sakuya's clothes now on the floor?
> Do we feel any fuller or different?
> Try tapping into our new power to stop time.
>> If such is successful: "Well, I can do this now."
-
> Are Sakuya's clothes now on the floor?
> Do we feel any fuller or different?
> Try tapping into our new power to stop time.
>> If such is successful: "Well, I can do this now."
> Yes.
> You do.
> You attempt to... And with a bit of strain, the world around you is willed to pause.
> ("Hm?") Sakuya questions.
>_
-
> Try responding to Sakuya in our head, while keeping time stopped.
> ("I have access to your abilities now, Miss Sakuya. Now I am as powerful as both of us combined, and none of Lady Patchouli's kidnappers are any the wiser as to why.")
-
> Try responding to Sakuya in our head, while keeping time stopped.
> ("I have access to your abilities now, Miss Sakuya. Now I am as powerful as both of us combined, and none of Lady Patchouli's kidnappers are any the wiser as to why.")

> ("I see... So you could potentially be a culmination of our abilities. Though, skill and numbers are lost in this equation...")
>_
-
> ("That is true. But it does give us the element of surprise in return. At least for the first few times.")
> Resume time.
> "Is it something you're reconsidering, Young Mistress?"
-
> ("That is true. But it does give us the element of surprise in return. At least for the first few times.")
> Resume time.
> "Is it something you're reconsidering, Young Mistress?"
> "No. No." Flandre repeats.
>_
-
> Nod.
> "All right. If I may ask, then, what's on your mind?"
-
> Nod.
> "All right. If I may ask, then, what's on your mind?"
> "It's nothing." The young mistress replies.
> ("I believe this would only be much useful against Marisa, as if she sees me outside, that would give her inspiration to head for the library. Though, she's already made her round today. It would be better for us to all be around.")
>_
-
> Nod again.
> "Okay. In that case, Young Mistress, could you wait outside for a moment? Miss Sakuya would like to return."
-
> Nod again.
> "Okay. In that case, Young Mistress, could you wait outside for a moment? Miss Sakuya would like to return."
> "Huh? What's with waiting?"
> ("Is something the matter?") Sakuya questions.
>_
-
> Look down at Sakuya's clothes and gesture at them.
> "Those there are the issue."
-
> Look down at Sakuya's clothes and gesture at them.
> "Those there are the issue."
> "? Why did she strip before you did that?"
>_
-
> Stop time again.

-
> Stop time again.
> ("A thought occurs, Miss Sakuya. If what you and the Young Mistress said about Lady Patchouli's abductors wanting me to get stronger to fight to rescue her, would it not be better to have you in me?")
> You stop time once more.
> ("Hm... You do have a point there. Perhaps this is all a test for you specifically. Actually, does it mention you in specific, or a resident of the mansion otherwise?")
>_
-
> ("Me specifically.")
-
> ("Me specifically.")
> ("...I suppose having me in here would help you to get stronger. Er, try not to erase me from existence or such...")
>_
-

> ("That... Perhaps you would need to do it in another way, for such a thing...")
> You stop.
> "So she's... Inside of you and nude... Uh huh... Whatever." Flandre speaks.
> ("Nude... Am I-... Pardon me for asking, but could you bring a change of my clothes along with you?")
>_
-
> ("I can certainly do that. Do you have a backpack around that I could carry them in, or something similar? And I would be happy to experiment with you and our bodies in such ways at an opportune time~")
> "She is, though no one will see her that way, of course. Anyway, we thought about it, and realized that if what you and she said about Lady Patchouli's abductors wanting me to get stronger to fight to rescue her is true, then it would be better to have her in me, so that I am stronger and have fewer traveling companions."

> "I see..." Flandre notes. "Maybe you'll end up with residual energy from having her in you."
>_
-
> ("Ehe~")
> "Quite possibly. It also does make me think, and I'm not saying we *must* do this, because we do not *have* to, but it does make me think it may be a good strategic idea for you to join her, for the same reasons."

> Try shifting some of Sakuya to our legs, if we can.

> "We just need to find them and Patchouli. I'll be useful. Watch!"
>_
-
> Keep trying.
> Try internally dwelling on the new energy we have absorbed, to get more familiar with it.

> You start to focus on the energy a bit... It's hard to make use of it in stopping time, for example...
> "No, it's that I don't get to do anything myself." Flandre speaks.

> You check ..
> Untouched... Everything is still there.

> "...I...don't want to get you in trouble for releasing me, Young Mistress...but at this point, I will take whatever help I can get in rescuing Lady Patchouli."
> Nod.
> "If you are willing, I will be glad to have you."
-
> "...I...don't want to get you in trouble for releasing me, Young Mistress...but at this point, I will take whatever help I can get in rescuing Lady Patchouli."
> Nod.
> "If you are willing, I will be glad to have you."
> Another Flandre splits off from the current, holding a hand out to you.
> "Just try not to destroy yourself."
>_
-
> Blink.
> Take the new Flan's hand in ours.
> "Of course."
-
> Blink.
> Take the new Flan's hand in ours.
> "Of course."
> "Alright then." The original continues towards the front doors...
>_
-
> Glance back at the original with a look of mild confusion, then back at the copy whose hand we're holding.
> Is the copy Flan still willfully holding our hand, and making no effort to move anywhere?
>> If so, absorb her. Stop immediately if she objects, of course.
-
> Glance back at the original with a look of mild confusion, then back at the copy whose hand we're holding.
> Is the copy Flan still willfully holding our hand, and making no effort to move anywhere?
>> If so, absorb her. Stop immediately if she objects, of course.
> Yes.
> You begin to take in the copy's energy. She doesn't seem to object, and soon enough, you have someone within again.
> Notably, there is no leftover clothing...
>_
-
> ("Young Mistress? Can you hear me?")
-
> ("Young Mistress? Can you hear me?")
> Neither seem to respond...
>_
-
> Hmm...
> Try focusing on the energy we absorbed to make copies of ourself.
-
> Hmm...
> Try focusing on the energy we absorbed to make copies of ourself.
> You try, though nothing seems to come from it.
>_

> When we make a copy of ourselves normally, can we unmake her remotely?
>> If so, can we immediately remake her?
-
> When we make a copy of ourselves normally, can we unmake her remotely?

>maybe. Though if you could do so, the energy would be lost...

> How much space is left in the backpack?
-
> How much stronger do we feel?
> Can we tell where we end and Flan's copy begins?
> How much space is left in the backpack?
> Quite a bit stronger. Though not outstandingly...
> Not exactly. It feels more like just energy rather than any life...
> Still a bit. Not enough for another set of clothes... You might actually have to check again. You hadn't pushed it down, so more could fit than it allows now...
>_
-
> Try pushing the contents down, being careful of the knives.
-
> Try pushing the contents down, being careful of the knives.
> You flatten things down a bit more, getting a nice boost in space.
>_
-
> Sigh.
> Close the backpack and put it back on.
> Head back outside.
-
> Sigh.
> Close the backpack and put it back on.
> Head back outside.
> You close the backpack, donning it and heading outside again.
> "What, er... Are you alright?" Meiling asks, Flandre standing next to her.
>_
-
> Does Flan have a parasol?
> Nod.
> "Sorry about that. I had forgotten something really important. Everything's okay now, though."
-
> Does Flan have a parasol?
> Nod.
> "Sorry about that. I had forgotten something really important. Everything's okay now, though."
> Yes, she still has hers.
> "That crash didn't look too good... But okay..." Meiling responds.
>_
-
> Are we feeling the same pain and pressure from the sun like before?
> Smile a bit and lightly wave a hand at her.
> "It's nothing terrible, don't worry. I got a little overenthusiastic, that's all. I hope you're enjoying your company, by the way."
-
> Are we feeling the same pain and pressure from the sun like before?
> Smile a bit and lightly wave a hand at her.
> "It's nothing terrible, don't worry. I got a little overenthusiastic, that's all. I hope you're enjoying your company, by the way."
> Just a bit of discomfort. Nothing as bad as before.
> "It's quite rare to see the Young Mistress outside." She smiles a bit. "Is there something I can- oh!" she turns to the stoic Flandre. "I get what you're doing! Have fun, but be careful."
>_
-
> Wave to both of them with a smile.
> Take flight and head back in the direction we were previously told Alice's house is.
-
> Wave to both of them with a smile.
> Take flight and head back in the direction we were previously told Alice's house is.
> You and start for the forest, feeling like you're getting much better distance.
>_
-
> Strange...are we going faster than normal?
> Do we know roughly where the Hakurei Shrine is?
-
> Strange...are we going faster than normal?
> Do we know roughly where the Hakurei Shrine is?
> You haven't been trying to.
> Not a clue...
>_
-
> Well, keep on going toward the Forest of Magic. Hopefully we can figure out how to get to Miss Hakurei at some point.
-
> Well, keep on going toward the Forest of Magic. Hopefully we can figure out how to get to Miss Hakurei at some point.
> You begin through the forest... The puppeteer's house should be... Somewhere.
>_
-
> Look around. Anything noteworthy in the immediate vicinity?
> What are our options for proceeding?
-
> Look around. Anything noteworthy in the immediate vicinity?
> What are our options for proceeding?
> There's enough trees to block out most of the sunlight. But nothing otherwise so.
> There's a path in the distance.
> Another choice might be an unknown woman you spot "wandering" the forest, given they seem to be oblivious to the path...
>_
-
> What does she look like?
> Call out.
> "Ah, pardon me, Miss?"
-
> What does she look like?
> Call out.
> "Ah, pardon me, Miss?"
> Long white hair... A somewhat glowing stone on her forehead. Black and white clothes, featuring a skirt and a capelet, but you don't think it's Marisa...
> "...Us?" She turns and points to herself.
>_
-
> Nod.
> "Yes. I need some help. Do you have a moment?"
-
> Nod.
> "Yes. I need some help. Do you have a moment?"
> "...Sure. What is it?"

> "I'm looking for Miss Alice Margatroid's house. Can you help me get there?"
-
> "I'm looking for Miss Alice Margatroid's house. Can you help me get there?"
> The woman nods.
> "It should be at the end of that path, but would you like us to come with you?"
-
> Smile.
> "Oh, if it is not too much trouble, that would be most appreciated!"
-
> Smile.
> "Oh, if it is not too much trouble, that would be most appreciated!"
> "This way, then." She meets up with the path."
>_
-
> "Thank you very much."
> Begin following where she goes.
> "By the way, I am Koakuma, of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. May I ask your name?"
-
> "Thank you very much."
> Begin following where she goes.
> "By the way, I am Koakuma, of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. May I ask your name?"
> "Reina." She smiles. "Are you a friend of the puppeteer's?"
>_
-
> "Not exactly. I am a servant of one who is, however. What about you?"
-
> "Not exactly. I am a servant of one who is, however. What about you?"
> "We have been interested in meeting her."
>_
-
> "Oh, how fortuitous for us to meet, then."
-
> "Oh, how fortuitous for us to meet, then."
> "We weren't planning to do so now, but since it seems better to..."
>_
-
> Nod.
> "Mmm. If I may ask, are you traveling with anyone else?"
-
> Nod.
> "Mmm. If I may ask, are you traveling with anyone else?"
> "Hm? Did you see anyone? We had asked her to stay put..." The woman looks around.
>_
-
> Blink.
> "Um...no, I hadn't seen anyone. I was more curious about whether or not you were using the royal 'we'."
-
> Blink.

> "No, not at all. I was only curious. Please, continue as you desire."
> She has both magic and life... Quite a lot too. There's also a strange connection you feel to her, yet on your body...
> Ambient magic... Though the woman might be taking in some...
> The same previous thing about the connection, you can sort of feel to various things around the forest, such as trees that happen to come into view...
> "Okay."
>_
-
> Try absorbing a little bit of the ambient magic energy. (Obviously do not take any of our companion's magic or life.)

> Can we feel any other energy sources moving about?
> "Should I pretend I heard nothing about any other people you may or may not have asked to stay hidden?"
> You try, and it works... The energy feels a bit weird... Somewhat a familiar sensation, but weaker than you remember of the familiarity.
> "It's no big deal. You're fine."
>_
-
> Do we feel any different as a result of absorbing that energy?
> Can we feel any other energy sources specifically moving about, that might be the other person Reina mentioned?

> A tiny bit stronger, maybe? That might just be your mind tricking you though.
> No.
>_

> Begin absorbing ambient energy in the background of all other actions.
> "So, Reina, are you from around here?"
-
> Begin absorbing ambient energy in the background of all other actions.
> "So, Reina, are you from around here?"
> You continue...
> "A native? No."
>_
-
> "Oh? ...Are you from the outside world, then?"
-
> "Oh? ...Are you from the outside world, then?"
> "We hear there's other worlds from Gensokyo. Some easier to get to. It's difficult to say where our home is relative to here..."
>_
-
> "Fascinating! How did you get here?"
-
> "Fascinating! How did you get here?"
> "That is... We're not sure it'll make too many people happy to hear, so..."
>_
-
> "Oh. Forget I asked, then. It sounds high above my pay grade."
-
> "Oh. Forget I asked, then. It sounds high above my pay grade."
> Reina nods, continuing on.
> You can see two houses in the distance.
>_
-
> "Ah, I think I see something...well, two things, actually..."
-
> "Ah, I think I see something...well, two things, actually..."
> "Mm... The Black White magician's home and the Seven Colored Puppeteer's home..."
>_
-
> Frown.
> "The black-white, you say? That is..good to know. I will have to remember it for the future. But that can wait. To Miss Margatroid's residence, please."
> As we continue, stop absorbing the ambient energy, and start converting it to our own.
-
> Frown.

> You start changing the energy into your own as Reina leads you to one of the houses, looking around.
>_
-
> How do we feel as a result of this conversion?
> "Shall we knock?"
-
> How do we feel as a result of this conversion?
> "Shall we knock?"
>Kind of the same, but it feels better than before doing it.
> "Us?"
>_
-
> "Either of us. Or both of us, if you like."
-
> "Either of us. Or both of us, if you like."
> "Would you like to do your business first?"
>_
-
> "Possibly. How long will yours take?"
-
> "Possibly. How long will yours take?"
> "Can't say for sure, but we would like it to be as informative as she can provide."
>_
-
> "Well...my situation is complicated. I am on a bit of a time crunch, and my hope is that I will not need to take very long. On the other hand, I cannot guarantee it will end as civilly between she and I as it will begin. Given that, which would you prefer?"
-
> "Well...my situation is complicated. I am on a bit of a time crunch, and my hope is that I will not need to take very long. On the other hand, I cannot guarantee it will end as civilly between she and I as it will begin. Given that, which would you prefer?"

> "Thank you."
> Knock!
> You knock...
> The door opens, but the girl within sits far from it, working on something at a table.
> A couple of small humanoid creatures float into view near the door, looking to you...
>_
-
> "Good day, Miss Margatroid."
-
> "Good day, Miss Margatroid."
> "Good morning."
> "Rai Hourai-"
> The girl raises a finger as one of the creatures speaks, and it stops.
> "H-..." It hangs it's head a bit, to which the adjacent creature pats it.
> "What brings you two here? Lost in the forest?" Alice continues.
>_
-
> "Not exactly. We have both actually come looking for you specifically. May we come in?"
-
> "Not exactly. We have both actually come looking for you specifically. May we come in?"
> "Hmm...yes."
>_
-
> "Thank you."
> Enter.
-
> "Thank you."
> Enter.
> You and the light haired woman step in.
> "I do hope these are good terms..." Alice remarks.
>_
-
> "I am not sure about my companion, to be honest. We met by happenstance on the way here. But I am here because Lady Patchouli has been abducted."
-
> "I am not sure about my companion, to be honest. We met by happenstance on the way here. But I am here because Lady Patchouli has been abducted."
> "Ah-"
> "Rai Rai Hourai!?" The animate doll draws a weapon on you.
> "Now now, I don't think she's accusing us" Alice speaks.
> "Shanghai! Hourai Rai Hourai!" The doll shouts in the direction of stairs
> "You're being too tense. Patchouli can handle herself. Please don't treat our guests in such a way either. I'm sorry for what she said, if you understood her."
>_
-
> Shrink back a bit.
> "N-no! Not at all!"
-
> Shrink back a bit.
> "N-no! Not at all!"
> "She sounded panicked..." Reina notes.
> "Yeah. She was worried you were attacking me, in a way..."
> The doll quickly floats up the stairs and out of view...
> "Do you mind if we... explored a bit?" Reina asks.
> "My dolls might attack you in attempt to be defensive... They've been training in various things, and this overreaction isn't going too well for them." Alice says. "So, I'd advise against it for everyone's peace."
>_
-
> "Okay. Sorry..."
-
> "Okay. Sorry..."
> "It's alright. Have you found any leads?"
> "This situation sounds much more important than ours..." Reina notes.
>_
-
> "Well...honestly, not very much. The abductor, or abductors, left me ransom notes that make it impossible to tell who sent them. The situation seems like it might also be some sort of test for me specifically. Here, have a look."
> Hand Alice the second note, the one about us beating strong people up.
-
> "Well...honestly, not very much. The abductor, or abductors, left me ransom notes that make it impossible to tell who sent them. The situation seems like it might also be some sort of test for me specifically. Here, have a look."
> Hand Alice the second note, the one about us beating strong people up.
> You head over and pass the note along.
> "Oh? You've... done part of what this says? That's quite the feat... I didn't expect her to go down to one of the residents..."
>_
-
> Give a hint of a sly grin.
> "A lady has her secrets~"
> Go back to serious.
> "The part about defeating strong foes has me concerned, though. I'm not really sure I'm capable of it too often, or who qualifies, or how much I need to, or anything like that."
-
> Give a hint of a sly grin.

> Go back to serious.
> "The part about defeating strong foes has me concerned, though. I'm not really sure I'm capable of it too often, or who qualifies, or how much I need to, or anything like that."
> "Hm... You seem really worried over your masters kidnapping... Do you believe her in danger?" Alice passes it back.
>_
-
> Retrieve the note.
> "I'm...honestly not sure. If it's some sort of test for me, then maybe she's even helping organize it. But I don't know that for sure, which means I at least need to act as though she's in danger, you know?"
-
> Retrieve the note.
> "I'm...honestly not sure. If it's some sort of test for me, then maybe she's even helping organize it. But I don't know that for sure, which means I at least need to act as though she's in danger, you know?"

>_
-
> "...That's, well..."
> Look back and forth between Alice and Reina.
> "...Miss Reina, what exactly did your business with Miss Margatroid entail?"
-
> "...That's, well..."
> Look back and forth between Alice and Reina.
> "...Miss Reina, what exactly did your business with Miss Margatroid entail?"
> "Nothing at the level of someone being in danger. Something more akin to magic discussion."
>_
-
> "Mmm...would you both be willing to accompany me while having that discussion? You wouldn't have to walk or fly for yourselves, and no one else would even know you're there."
-
> "Mmm...would you both be willing to accompany me while having that discussion? You wouldn't have to walk or fly for yourselves, and no one else would even know you're there."
> "To where?" Alice asks.
>_
-
> "Searching for more information. Probably visiting Miss Hakurei, to see if she has any advice to offer on being a hero. With my tricks, she shouldn't know you're with me, unless you wanted her to know. Possibly combating hostiles, though you wouldn't have to get directly involved in that."
-
> "Searching for more information. Probably visiting Miss Hakurei, to see if she has any advice to offer on being a hero. With my tricks, she shouldn't know you're with me, unless you wanted her to know. Possibly combating hostiles, though you wouldn't have to get directly involved in that."
> "I... don't think I could do that..." Alice says.
>_
-
> Nod.
> "Alright. In that case, I don't suppose you might have any advice as to who might have done this? Of those that are not residents of our mansion, you are one of Lady Patchouli's closest companions."
-
> Nod.
> "Alright. In that case, I don't suppose you might have any advice as to who might have done this? Of those that are not residents of our mansion, you are one of Lady Patchouli's closest companions."
> "Perhaps it's someone looking for someone strong to fight..."
>_
-
> "Mmm. All the more reason to consult Miss Hakurei, then, I think. How might i get to her Shrine, anyway? I do not exactly leave home very often."
-
> "Mmm. All the more reason to consult Miss Hakurei, then, I think. How might i get to her Shrine, anyway? I do not exactly leave home very often."
> "Her shrine's in the east. You should notice it around some trees if you're flying."
>_
-
> Nod.
> "Alright. Thank you, Miss Margatroid."
> Look to Reina.
> "And thank you again for leading me here, Miss Reina."
-
> Nod.
> "Alright. Thank you, Miss Margatroid."
> Look to Reina.
> "And thank you again for leading me here, Miss Reina."
> "You are welcome."
> "I'm sorry about this whole Patchouli thing." Alice says.
>_

> Bow, and then exit the house.
> Take flight and head east, looking for a Shrine.
-
> "Thank you. I hope to see you both again in the future."
> Bow, and then exit the house.
> Take flight and head east, looking for a Shrine.
> You exit, starting for the east...
> You think you see the young mistress flying, but perhaps it's someone else. They're gone before you could turn enough...
>_
-
> ! Chase after them!
-
> ! Chase after them!
> You turn and start for where they were headed. Actually, it seems as if she was going to the forest, and the path as well. Though you're sure it's the young mistress, and without her umbrella too, she vanishes by a tree in between your view.
>_
-
> Head directly for that tree. Can we feel energy from behind it?
-
> Head directly for that tree. Can we feel energy from behind it?
> You head for the tree...
> Nothing aside from the regular forest you've been feeling...
>_
-
> Peek behind the tree.
-
> Peek behind the tree.
> You peek behind, and around, but no Flan, or anyone...
>_
-
> Look all around us one more time.
> If we don't see anything unusual, sigh, and continue our flight east toward the shrine.
-
> Look all around us one more time.
> If we don't see anything unusual, sigh, and continue our flight east toward the shrine.
> You look all around... No one on the ground... Neither above...
> With a sigh, you resume your pace.
> "I'm not going to let you find me that easily." You hear the mistress, and turning quickly, find her further away behind another tree... This one, however, has her parasol. "We can't help each other or something, right? What were you getting at?"
>_
-
> This is the Young Mistress, correct?
> Stop.
> "My apologies. I saw someone I was not sure about, and then it turned out to be you without your parasol, so I was then concerned for a different reason. If you are fine, I can continue onward alone."
-
> This is the Young Mistress, correct?
> Stop.
> "My apologies. I saw someone I was not sure about, and then it turned out to be you without your parasol, so I was then concerned for a different reason. If you are fine, I can continue onward alone."
> Yes, you believe so.
> "I can take care of myself. I can spare a clone or two for hide and seek though."
>_
-
> "Of course. I will be on my way, then."
> If she makes no effort to stop us, continue eastward.
-
> "Of course. I will be on my way, then."
> If she makes no effort to stop us, continue eastward.
> You get back on your eastward flight, searching for the shrine...
> You do see some areas with trees, but no shrine yet...

-
> Focus our search on the area with the trees.
-
> Focus our search on the area with the trees.
> Will you fly down into them?
>_

> Yes.
-
> Yes.
> You crash into the trees.
> You descend, finding a lot of trees around you, but still, no shrine...
>_
-
> Keep searching...

> Close our eyes and sense the surrounding energies.
> You stop and try to sense your surroundings...
> Nothing comes up though... You seem to be alone here, as well as nothing magic around...
>_

> Continue eastward, keeping an eye on the ground below for any buildings.
-
> Take to the air again, above the tree tops.
> Continue eastward, keeping an eye on the ground below for any buildings.
> You head back into the air.
> There's only trees as far as you can see in this same direction...
>_
-
> Frown.
> How much further do we have in this direction before the trees end?
-
> Frown.
> How much further do we have in this direction before the trees end?
> You can't tell. It looks like they go on forever.
>_
-
> Urgh...
> Try heading straight upward into the sky, to get a better view.
-
> Urgh...
> Try heading straight upward into the sky, to get a better view.
> You fly up higher, but the trees still continue on further than you can see in this direction.
>_
-
> Try looking all around.
> Is there any direction in which the trees eventually stop?
> Can we tell where Alice's house is from here?
-
> Try looking all around.
> Is there any direction in which the trees eventually stop?
> Can we tell where Alice's house is from here?
> Yes. Most of the opposite direction ends, and has more of the world... You think you can see where you came from.
>_
-
> Just keep heading east, then, until we either spot an unknown building or we hit a tree line that marks the end of the forest.
-
> Just keep heading east, then, until we either spot an unknown building or we hit a tree line that marks the end of the forest.

-
> Turn around and head all the way back to Alice's house.
-
> Turn around and head all the way back to Alice's house.
> You start back...
> The trees lower in count significantly this direction, and you do spot a structure, and even a smaller one, at the end of this line.
>_
-
> How are we holding up, in general?
> How do we compare physically to Reimu?
> Descend to the larger structure of the two. Is there anyone visible in or around it?
-
> How are we holding up, in general?
> How do we compare physically to Reimu?
> Descend to the larger structure of the two. Is there anyone visible in or around it?
> Fine.
> You haven't seen her a lot... You aren't sure. You didn't even get too good a look during the scarlet mist incident.
> You head down... There is someone there. You think it might be Reimu.
>_
-
> What does the person look like?
> What is the person doing?
> As we get close: "Um, pardon me! Are you Miss Hakurei?"
-
> What does the person look like?

> Red white clothing... They look like Reimu, definitely.
> Just sitting on a ledge...
> "Yes. And?" The figure looks up to you
>_
-
> "Oh, thank goodness..."
> Land near her.
> "I need your help, Miss Hakurei. I need to know how to be a hero."
-
> "Oh, thank goodness..."
> Land near her.
> "I need your help, Miss Hakurei. I need to know how to be a hero."
> "Uh, just do it?" Reimu answers.
>_
-
> "It's really hard, though..."
> Light up.
> "Oh! I should probably explain, huh? My master, Lady Patchouli, has been abducted. All the information I really have about it is here."
> Offer Reimu the two ransom notes.
-
> "It's really hard, though..."
> Light up.
> "Oh! I should probably explain, huh? My master, Lady Patchouli, has been abducted. All the information I really have about it is here."
> Offer Reimu the two ransom notes.
> "If it's an abduction, find out who did it, then beat them in a spell card duel for her. If a duel won't cut it... Then it might be a situation for someone else to deal with... They might be breaking laws..."
> Reimu glances at your hand with the notes, but doesn't go for them.
>_
-
> "That's the problem. I don't know how to find who did, except maybe by beating strong people in duels, but I'm not very good at that either..."

> "Oh, you really wouldn't have to do anything. You wouldn't even need to get up from this spot. Well, you wouldn't need to move yourself, anyway."
> You're a bit taller than her... More gifted as well, especially considering she lacks wings and such inhuman features... Your hair is longer by a lot, too.
> "This sounds like it has strings attached. I'm not buying it."
>_
-
> "I don't think it does..."
-

> "Please!"
> "A bunch of people say they need my help. What about them? What if someone comes to the shrine trying to get my help for a more urgent matter. Leave a note saying "I'm sorry I went to go play detective"? You can surely convince someone better fit to finding someone else. Try Marisa, she's got some sort of relation with Patchouli."

> Adopt a thoughtful look.
> "What if there was someone here that could alert us in case someone else came by looking for you?"
> "Just... check the mansion. My intuition says you'll find out there or something. I have important plans and am waiting on the person involved to get here." Reimu sighs. "Probably dealing with more people and not even on her way..." She scowls.
>_
-
> "Who is it? I'll find them for you."
-
> "Who is it? I'll find them for you!"

> Surprisingly, she's got much larger sizes than the fairies, and there's always a doubt in your mind that she really is a fairy like the others... Her height doesn't seem to threaten to pass yours... You don't think you can compare your wings, since they're pretty different. Her hair is shorter, it looks like.

> You are shorter. She's probably the tallest of the residents...

> Remotely feel out the life essences of the maids.
> Turn to Daiyousei, positioning ourselves so, if she faces us to speak, she won't be looking at the maids.
> "Hmm, well, this is a problem, dear."
> If Daiyousei is paying visual attention to us, begin remotely absorbing the rightmost maid. Do not pay any other attention to her, though, and act as if nothing is going on.
