Today is plugh, Toupee Day.
Tupees are a must for any distinguished gentleman wishing to hide their own age.
The hard part is finding a good one.
The worst was that uncle of mine that wore a beaver pelt for hair...
There was something here once. Wonder what...

Today, we borrow a page from Everett True. Or rather the whole body of work.

"acronym: a pronounceable name made up of a series of initial letters or parts of words; for example, UNESCO  for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization"

If you say every letter separately it's not an acronym.

If you don't think those aren't being pronounced like words, you are not very familiar with the Cyberpunk Way (tm).

Today is 0x00, Equestrian Day. I say we should take
some time off the rough days and partake in some
good ol' horseriding. Back when the sea didn't exist,
and in its place was a giant desert, the major mode
of transportation were horsies! Let's be grateful.

Today is [error 404], Forum Day.
I was a member of a forum once.
It was nice, but everyone kept
asking me personal questions so
I told them to back off. Then they
sued me for tax evasion.

So. I just realized I forgot Ammy's holiday. I'm really sorry about that, man. ._.

But this what I mean about reminders. =[

Ha, it's totally fine. If Tengu Day appears at some day of the year, I'll be very happy.

Today is snarfblat, Cat Hair Day. Cat hair is a big problem in Filgaia. It keeps falling off and getting into everything. But today, everyone gathers up all the cat hair they can for barbers to make wigs out of them! A pity they don't sell well...

Feel free to rewrite it a bit to redo the numerical references, and I'll kick it to the front of the line.

Today is MMDDYYYY, Cocktail Day.  Cocktails are
mixtures of two or more things, and are generally
alcoholic in nature.  But did you know you can make
cocktails out of fruit?  Or cocktails out of dresses?  Or
cocktails out of molotovs!  What's a molotov?

Today is [blarnt], Tengu Day. This is meant to be as joyous and celebratory as possible. You can celebrate it any way you like, so long as you do so while seeing the best in everyone. No one's perfect, after all, but everyone has some good in them. Taking candid photos is also encouraged. At the end of the day, I like to look at the candid shots I took, and laugh heartily. Caw caw!

Today is XXX, Future Day.  All my teachers tell me the future is going to be awesome, except we're celebrating it today and not in the future so we don't know exactly what we're excited about.  But if we wait until the future to celebrate how great it is, we'll have to call it Today Day instead wouldn't we?

Today is -hurr-, Face Punching Day. Twiddlebert
the Second really liked boxing, so he decreed a
day where you shall punch everyone you meet in the
face. Because too many people complained, eventually
he had to scrap that idea. Now everybody just plays
Scrabble instead.

Today is August 31st, the National Day of my country.
This day is to celebrate freedom from the grasps of the British Army.
This is the 53rd year after that event back in 1957.
I guess it's enough that the land where I am born in
was invaded for more than 446 years.Let there be no more invasion...
I'm reviewing every nook and crane of history in old books.

Today is wafflesston, Crossdressing Day. Crossdressing Day got started by a small-town mayor of Filgaia that liked to do it in secret, so he made it a holiday after getting into office. Lots of people expected it to end after he left, but there are still groups that celebrate it, especially teenaged girls. I'm not entirely sure what to think about that.
