No, I mean it doesn't even try to load, and the translation notes overlap with the comments. That is not normal. I discovered I can make it load by clicking on the like ten pixels that can be seen and copy/pasting the image url, but then I don't have the translation.

It's something about seeing it in Touhou, though. People seem to always think of Gensokyo as this perfect fantasy land where, aside from some problematic incidents, everyone's happy. Even Flandre and Mokou (and, to a lesser extent, Alice), who should likely be some of the most tragic characters in the series, are usually pretty alright in fanworks. But seeing a Touhou character die, and the emotional impact it has on those around them, shatters that perception and forces the reader into the reality that no place is perfect, not even Gensokyo.

...I feel like Shikeiki. :V

If it is what I think it is, I don't know what it's called, but it is best shown in a certain, beautiful short story.

The Story with the Hammer

A man wants to put a picture on his wall. He got the nail, but not the hammer. His neighbour got one. So he decides to go over and borrow it. But then the doubt creeps in: What if the neighbour doesn't want to lend me his hammer? Just yesterday he greeted me so briskly. Maybe he was in a hurry. Maybe he pretended to be in a hurry because he has a grudge against me. But why? I've never done anything to him; he must be mistaken. If somebody asked me to lend them a hammer, I'd give it away in an instant. Why won't he? Why would one deny such a simple request to his fellow citizens? People like that make me sick. And then he thinks he is better than me, all because he has a hammer and I don't! Enough with that!
And so he rushes towards next door and rings the bell, the neighbour opens, but before he can say "Good morning", the man yells: "Just keep your damn hammer!"
