In other news, omgkitties (one of the TF2 server admins) has asked me about possibly retrofitting one of the TF2 servers (the old one'll be up a bit longer than expected) into an in-house Hardcore Mode server for a time. Still thinking about the idea, primarily from the hardware perspective; what I can say is that (A) don't expect Multiverse, (B) EDITED: I'm not sure ATM who would be be staff for the MC software bit, and (C) :V-mining, possibly even the majority of mods, would be much harder to use.

New Adventure World is up!

Unfortunately, my original idea for this world will have to wait until I can figure out how to spawn Ghasts in a normal world, so I've provided something a bit different for now :V

In this new world, the only biomes are desert, jungle, and extreme hills. Ravines are now extremely common and caves are far more dense - the cave system is probably endless now. Tons of exposed riches to be found as you near the bedrock, but because the caves are so open, watch your step (and watch your back, too)!

Fun world; already found and raided one jungle temple, and had another desert one in sights but it was beyond the border. :\

I'll add that floating sand is a lot more prevalent than it seems, as well as simply walking off whatever terrain into a 30-40m ravine.

Finally got the pvp spire arena (/warp Spire) I've been working on for ages done; gotta love the abundance of clay in the adventure world. Although the beacon will have to wait until 1.4 comes out so that I can actually craft it :V (also assuming that I manage to defeat a wither to get the materials; combat isn't exactly my forte)

In other news. I've finally gotten around to setting up a Warp Shrine for my construction area.

So is there a way to actually reach the fort from the warp, or are we just supposed to admire it from afar until it is finished?

Actually, there is a main entrance directly underneath the center of the facility. Look for a stone button around that glowstone down there. :3 The warp shrine will be part of an observation deck that encapsulates the Fortress. I plan on having a scenic railway and such there. You'd still have to swim/boat over to the proper entrance though.

So, a while ago I made a prototype in creative of the base and a bit of the stalk for my tower but sadly the save file got lost in the transition to this new computer and I also lost the screenshots and I didn't feel like playing Minecraft for a week after that.....

Anyway, after thinking about the prototype, I realized the look of it wasn't to my liking. The stalk looked too thin and the base was just stumpy instead of huge so I'm thinking about increasing the size of my initial specifications to around 63X63 or so for the base and 21X21 or so for the stalk with a 4 petal flower shape for the base (I found odd number works best for this shape) although it might become even bigger if I'm not satisfied with how the base look as I create the second prototype....

Also, I may need to find a new area to build it in now since the base just got waaaay bigger......

A similar thing happened to me, I lost a UB3 eff4 silk touch pick a UB3 eff4 pick, and iron armor. I hadn't started to mine yet but it was still pretty annoying.

That's way too expensive for a pick like that
15 diamonds or so would be much closer to the right value.

um, sunny, i love you but, that price might be a bit high...  i mean, a pickaxe uses only 3 diamonds, 30 lvls from your shop cost 5 emeralds (=2.5 diamond) sooo... IF they were to enchant a pick then they have a good chance to get a great enchant for only 5.5 diamonds. i am not saying you should sell it for 6 diamonds. i am just saying that 50 seems a bit too high. love you <3

Considering the known values of past deals (Mega Chensaw - Eff 4 Unb 3 Fort 3 - went for 80 diamonds, while a Super Silky - Eff 4 Unb 3 Silk - was valued at 48-64 new), I would probably value it slightly lower (maybe 35-45) for this Generous Chensaw considering its potential payoff. We can figure out what the actual values are over time as trades are done.

Good grief, those prices are really high. I have like 3 of those Fortune Chensaws in reserve. It seems that enchanting likes giving me Fortune and Silk Touch a lot lately. :V

IF I sold those, I could retire comfortably.  :derp:
