Oh. I really wish I knew that before making this plan, especially because we're not going to lose his attention long enough to do that now.

>@Archer: "Well, he's distracted. Take the shot. Good luck."

>You scarcely have time to finish your command before Explorer gives a cry and whirls around, gun blazing. Over the deafening crack of his pistol, you can hear Eileen scream. With a curse, he practically bounds to her side.

>Eileen is not well; the arrow is deeply embedded in her side and there is a lot of blood. Explorer is working to remove it, which he does with less than a surgeon's grace.

>Archer doesn't reply, at least not with words. You can hear her fire another arrow. This time, Explorer is there to reactt, and he does, his hand shooting. For a brief moment, it seems as though he's grabbed it, as it hangs in midair next to the critically wounded magus. Then you realize he did not grab it with his hand, so much as intercept it. The results almost look like a corny prop from some 70s movie, save for the blood gushing down his hand. It is hard not to wince at the sight, and very easy to to just look away.

>You duck behind a tree.
>"I'll try not to drag it out," Archer sends back. You hear more arrows loose and a sound your well recognize as them hitting home. Then, a couple gun shots in return. Then silence.
>"...Got him," Archer sends after a moment. "It should be safe."

That crossed my mind. With his low mana usage we could totally power him with the catalyst...presuming Eileen died first, we figured out how to do so before he keeled over, and most importantly, we had a good argument to convince him to do so.
