>Stagger to our feet, and then Nitori.
>"Are-are you okay?"

>You try to get up in spite of your back still hurting, before going to check on Nitori.
>Nitori coughed for a bit (no blood, thankfully) before she answered, "I'm alright. Not completely, but I'm still here."

>Help her up.
>"I'm so sorry, Nitori. I'm so sorry. I didn't want them to come after you!"

>You help Nitori get up.
>"It's not your fault that the Yorigami Sukeban are such greedy thugs..." Nitori tells you.

> Where is the money?
> If the police is here and the money is fake we gotta ditch it

>You are still carrying the money with you.
>Maybe you should, but then the police are going to think you're the prime suspect of the counterfeiting...

>Speaking of the police, you see a few of them entering the mini-mart with their guns drawn, telling each other to surround the place and seal off all possible exits  so the Sukeban (that they don't know have already escaped) can't get away.
>Looks like there's no escaping now...

>Quietly: "We're trapped. Just...blame everything on me, and don't mention the cash."

>Nitori nodded.

>You then see a policewoman run past you to look out the hole the Sukeban made on the wall.
>"Hakurei here. The suspects got away. No clue where they're headed..." That policewoman then said into her walkie-talkie.

//Did nobody just OOC-ly question that the Yorigami Sukeban have members who possesses superpowers?

// I thought it was raw strength (bodybuilding etc)
> What does she look like?

//But can you simply smash a hole in a wall with raw non-super strength alone? And that's not mentioning the fact that one of the Sukeban simply shrugged off getting hit by a crowbar and bending said crowbar in the process. And also that time when another Sukeban snatched a gun out of Shion's hand faster than anyone can blink...

>This policewoman has short black hair, and is dressed in a standard police uniform.
>She is then joined by another policewoman. This one has blonde hair.
>"Jeez, why do the Yorigami Sukeban keep gettin' away from us?" The blonde policewoman complained.
>"Never mind that for now..." The brunette policewoman told her coworker. "This is a crime scene. We need to start asking the witnesses some questions..."

//And yes, Reimu and Marisa are going to be major characters in this CYOA.

// In drywall yeah (most people can with some difficulty, someone strong with ease).  Forgot about the crowbar though...
// I suggest we should work with them, they can offer us much needed protection while also helping us investigate this whole Sukeban mess.  Possibly we can set up an ambush (since the Sukeban are after us)

We have no reason to trust cops right now, in character. Also, I assumed there would be a reason for the abilities. I have theories.

//While magic does exist in this CYOA's universe (look back several pages for the relevant info), the Sukeban's superpowers are more than that...

>You try to stand up and leave with Nitori.
>The brunette policewoman, whose name tag identifies her as Hakurei, notices you two trying to leave the scene.
>"You two, stay right where you are." She tells you. "You're witnesses in this crime scene, therefore we need to ask you some questions."

Shion doesn't think they're real.

>"No I don't. You can just ask me here and take statements, can't you? I don't want to go anywhere!"

>"This is standard law enforcement protocol, citizen." Officer Hakurei tells you. "We request your cooperation, or you will be arrested for obstruction of justice."
>The blonde policewoman then steps in front of her.
>"C'mon, Reimu! Didja have to follow everything to a T?" The blonde policewoman said to her coworker. "Give these two a break. They've been through a lot."

>"But protocols are protocols..." Officer Hakurei tries to argue with her coworker.
>"Sometimes ya just have to think outside the box for a bit." The blonde policewoman says.

>Officer Hakurei eyes you and Nitori for a bit.
>"Alright, fine. But you two looked like you need first aid." She then tells you.

Sure. Though Shion wouldn't be totally forthright about everything if she didn't need to. No need to self incriminate.

// The interrogation? Yeah, if Purvis agrees

//Nope, not the interrogation, since the cops didn't even know exactly what was going on.

Sure. Though Shion wouldn't be totally forthright about everything if she didn't need to. No need to self incriminate.

>And so the cops did their job, sealing off the mini-mart with "crime scene - do not cross" tapes, and everyone present (including you and Nitori) were hauled to the police headquarters to be asked questions to be recorded as witness reports.
>Though since other witnesses pointed out that the Sukeban were targeting you in particular, you and Nitori gets asked more questions by the cops.
>When asked if you knew why the Sukeban were after you, you just say that you've beaten up one of them in self-defense before, and that they probably came to settle scores.
>With that, you get warned by Officer Hakurei that the Yorigami Sukeban are "some greedy and petty bitches", and that you best call the cops instead should you ever run into them again.

x-x-x

>The questioning went on for two hours before you and Nitori were released for being innocent bystanders in the case. Though you did get warned to be careful next time.
>You and Nitori are now outside the police headquarters right now. Now what?
