Uhg, once the terrible screamer singer started up I just closed the page.
I really don't like screaming metal that much. Then again I rarely like any Touhou doujin song that has lyrics.

Um... I kinda liked it... *hides*

Seriously though, it's hardly the best thing I've ever heard, but I found it to be wonderfully chaotic~

I'm not really huge fan of screaming in music either; the only thing I can say in the songs defense is that it kind of fits the chaotic nature of Hartmann's Youkai Girl and that the piano part was good.

It's for those hardcore Death-metal/screamo fans.

For a song in that genre, it's pretty good. At least it has a beat, and the piano background made it sound chaotically nice for Koishi. Although the voice was a bit...off.

It was okay, I think, could grow on me with further listenings. I thought the Ikaruga/DoDonPachi episode taught you that experience is subjective. :/

Now, i'm not gonna be flaming anyone here. I just heard this song and i was like, Holy Hell, poor Koishi.

Then i wanted to hear what people here thinks.

And about that thing about Ikaruga/DDP. I don't think that have anything to do with this remix of Koishi's theme. (The little bit of it that actually bore resemblence to the original.)

Lately i have realized that i'm extremely picky when it comes to games, but much more open-minded when it comes to music. It is of course subjective but as i said earlier: I'm not going to flame anyone for liking this remix, i just wanted to hear what people would think about it.

Complete Trash. If you want my point of view; poor Koishi. :(
Might have sounded good w/o the vocals.

I think this thread proves that extreme metal is something of an acquired taste.  Especially the vocals.

Well Death Metal is starting to grow on me. Just listening to the drummer, I'm all O.O, I mean, it has to be very intense for him.

Although vocals from ANY death metal song will take quite a bit of time to get used to.

Although, like I said before, it sounds much better than most death metal songs I heard before (oh god Visions).

Hmmm that was actually pretty good, they could have utilized their guitar a little more(well actually a lot more) but it wasn't too bad. Though it could have been more chaotic(i was kinda hoping it would be).

I'm pretty sure there's a line between subjective opinions on music and what is just downright utter garbage that it can't be considered anything but the latter.

This is fine though. It sucks, but it doesn't cross the line.

Well, as someone who listens to Death Metal more than the average person, I'd say this was quite...average.  There are plenty of better screamers out there (apparently screaming without destroying your throat is a skill that can be trained), the keyboard and drum work are nothing spectacular (in particular the drums sound very much in the style of Bolt Thrower...except with 55% less awesome), and it does nothing particularly creative in rearranging Hartmann's Youkai Girl.  =NeutraL= did it better.
Too much of a good thing, and it is no longer good.

Lyrics often turn me off as well. While it might not completely destroy the song, it will certainly prevent me from listening to it again for the most part.

I only like ONE demetori song.
And that's their islandy-version of Deep Mountain. I could listen to that shit for days.

Found the problem.

Nah, thats not the problem. The remix almost doesn't resemble Hartmanns Youkai Girl at all except for that piano part.

Oh and i won't be too quick to pass judgment on Demetori yet. I've only heard a few of their songs. Granted, i didn't like them at all and it butchered the songs remixed for me but i'll give them a second chance before i write them on my blacklist.

If you think Hartmann's Youkai Girl is the problem...
That was actually pretty terrible until 1:47. I would have killed the song before then if I wasn't doing nothing.

It's not as good as the original, though, Youtube killed it.

Disqualified for making the only good part of Hartmann the only recognizable part.
