It looks like we'll be starting with the briefing!

Cleavin' Evil! You going to make a sheet, or be assigned a character? People who want in need to tell me these things.

Also, one eager beaver has earned himself 3 perversity points. But worry not, the next sheet I get submitted and that I approve will get 2 perversity points!

ALSO: PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU NEED TIME TO READ THE PARANOIA MATERIALS I LINKED IN THE OP.
I don't wanna start tomorrow (for example), and have half of ye not familiar with the basics of Paranoia.

I'll be generating later today the character, but First there's a homework I need to take care of.

/in if it's not too late, preferrably with a pre-generated character.

Are we playing Classic, Straight or Zap?

Our Friendly Neighborhood GM let us know earlier that it would be Classic, but that some things would be borrowed from the other two.

Also, this one would like to know if we are required to have any specific things in place that are not otherwise deemed mandatory by the Computer for custom characters?

(Translation: I'm a good portion of the way done with Marrow, but I need some info -- is there anything for characters that is absolutely mandatory? Also: as we will be borrowing from the Straight and Zap formats every now and then, if we are choosing things such as, say, Mutation, can we use the Straight or Zap format tables for such?)

Friend Computer, I respectfully request that you take into account the relative slowness of my mind (at least compared to your processors...) and allow me to finish digesting all of the rules (as well as fill in the required surveys).  It should only take another evening.  I hope.
Too much of a good thing, and it is no longer good.

M.Burusu: Thinking on it: If you're choosing a mutant power, don't choose machine empathy. Because you wouldn't survive long enough to get to the actual dungeon. Aside from that, do as you like.

And read away, Rabbit. It'll be a day or two before I am ready to begin. Converting magical items takes some forethought.

I read enough to know that for certain . . . Machine Empathy is treasonous, and so there's no way I'd pick that. (I like to live. I really like to live.)

So it's been a decade since I last read this module; and in that time I'd like to think my RP sensibilities have matured a great deal.

Oh god. It hurts to read.

Let me say this ahead of time: I am so sorry.

Edit: Also, the two perversity point prize has been claimed! The next sheet that I get an approve will get a single shiny perversity point. It is like a normal point, but shinier

Do you accept them in plain-text? If so, I may be PMing it to you sooner than you think.

Once I get reading with an engine, I'm fairly quick at getting something turned out.

Plain text is okay. If there's a problem with your text, it shouldn't be hard to work out.

BONUS ANNOUCEMENT

So far, from what I have seen, Pesco, Mr_bob, and Alice Margatroid have requested pre-made characters. Is that everyone who wants one?

If you have not declared either way by July 17, I am going to presume that you are not interested. As it stands, I am accepting everyone who has asked to join. So speak up!

July 17? Excellent.

So far, from what I have seen, Pesco, Mr_Bob, and Alice Margatroid have requested pre-made characters. Is that everyone who wants one?

That's affirmative, speaking for Mr_Bob. Feel free to make it really random, Mr_Bob wants to be sent downstream without a paddle.
Except in this case the stream is Niagara Falls with angry mutants and pokey things at the bottom.

I'll go with a premade character, for the fact that I like getting something random and trying to wing-it, instead of making something that fits with me, which would make it easier to wing-it

Note: Winging-it is my plan A

At this point, no new entries will be accepted.

If you've already posted interest in this thread, you're good. So long as I get a sheet or a pre-gen request by the 17th. But no new players will be accepted unless a whole lotta people drop out.

Hi I am double posting so that this actually gets bumped.

I need everyone playing to fill out This form and PM me the results.

If you are waiting on a Pre-genned character, do not worry, I will be sending them out shortly now. If you wanna be an eager beaver, and the Computer considers eagerness an important building block of loyalty, just wing it.

If you have any questions, please save them for after you fill out the forms.

It is permissible to simply PM me the answers.

Edit: You may leave answers blank if you think there is no suitable correct answer.

It's a form, yes. PDF.

Edit: Characters have been sent out. If you have any questions about them, please PM me. if you like, you may change the names, genders, or personalities a bit. In fact, if you do so and I like the changes, I will give you a perversity point! (If you can make your name a terrible pun or play on words, all the better!)

I will be sending you all your secret society instructions in a little while, probably sometime tonight. I need to work them all out still.

I am looking to start this on Saturday, so try not to linger too long on these things. However, circumstances may delay things a bit, possibly as much as a day. But worry not! Worrying is unhappiness, and unhappiness is treason.

I'm being taken on a trip down to England starting Saturday, so my internet exposure may be patchy/non-existent for a little while. Hopefully I'll be able to get hold of something from Sunday onwards at the latest, though.

I take it it's too late to ask for a pre-generated character, right?

Naw, you're cool Onizuka.

Gimme a tick and I'll get you something.

Edit: So, I found an absolutely asskickin' random character generator that kicks so much ass. How much ass? So much ass. As such, if anyone gets a pre-gen they really don't like, lemme know and I'll make a new one.

ALSO!

Now is the time to PM me with questions about your sheets. Things like how mutant abiliteis work, secret society errata, and so on. At the very worst, I'll simply tell you that information is classified. But probably not for the basics.
