Koumajou Densetsu II (Touhouvania) does not load.

Topic.
Whenever I try to load the game, I get the windows message "koumajou2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and that's all. I have played around with the config.exe and updated the gaem to 1.02 along with language packs, used applocale, reinstalled it a few times, but nothing seems to be working  :fail:.

Have you tried updating the DirectX end-user runtime?

This is my suggestion for now.

Updated the DirectX and switched NGO optimized ATI drivers for latest official ones available for my card (10.2). No effect  :fail:.

Yup, a few times  .  Also, I just installed the first game and it works properly (with slowdowns on more intense moments), despite having the same system requirements... I'm lost.
