>"Hey, got you something!"
>Present Ran with them tofus.

> You present the tofu to Ran.
> She takes one look at it and eats it all at once.
> 'Haha, I suppose I have a soft spot for tofu."
> The sparrow looks up.  "Eh?"

> While Ran snacks, snuggle into one of her tails.
> "I told Kourin and Nitori what was going on. Apparantly Marisa and this Yuuka lady didn't really get along..."
> But wasn't Yuuka the one who helped preserve Marisa...?

> As Ran eats the tofu, you snuggle on one of her tails.  So soooft~
> 'I'm not suprised.'
> The sparrow sits up.  "Yuuka?!  There is no way you're not planning something if you bring her up!"
> No, that was definitely Alice.

So, it appears that Himiko changes her signature based on which pairing we find out about in this game. I wonder who's next...?

> You take advantage of snuggling one of Ran's tails while she fuels up on the tofu.

> 'As far as I know, the celestial is in this forest somewhere.  As for my daughter--'  Ran quickly corrects herself.  'The nekomata...I've looked all over Gensokyo, but I couldn't find her.

I maintain there's no limit to Parsee's capacity for jealousy. It's a bottomless buffet.

There IS a limit on how much she can hold without losing her sanity: all those times that Yuugi had to calm Parsee down with hugs and Vietnamese are a result of that.

But yeah, aside from that whole sanity thing, no reason why Parsee can't be a green hole of envy.

> Reluctantly leave the comfy tail.

> 'Sounds like a plan.'
> You and Nazrin reluctantly leave the comfy tail.  Ran's ears flicker, and she stands up.

>"At least I can go in the village for you and ask around if that doesn't work."
>Vague pondering: Could Eirin make a corpse physically functional for a spirit?

> You suggest asking around the village if looking around the village doesn't work.  Ran seems okay with it.
> That's a very good question.  Eirin was able to save Reimu, so why wouldn't she be able to save Marisa?

> Add Quest: Unaccompanied Minors

> Quest Added: Unaccompanied Minors
  > The kitsune Ran is looking for her her daughter, a nekomata, and a celestial.  She's certain that the celestial is in the Forest of Magic, but where is the nekomata?

> Nazrin holds up her dowsing rods.  "Say, you say Yuuka is dangerous and powerful, but what is she like as a person...youkai?"

>Get comfy, and prepare to go!
>"From what I hear, you mostly just have to not be a jerk, so we'll be fine."

> As we get ready, recall something. "Hey, your mistress ever wear green hats?"

> You and Nazrin get on Ran's back.
> "I hope she isn't one of those overly-sensitive people," Nazrin grumbles.
> Before you take off, you ask Ran if her mistress ever wore green hats.
> 'No, but my daughter did.'
> Ran takes off into the forest.  The trees fly by in blurs of dark brown, peppered with bursts of dead leaves kicked up by Ran as she sprints.  Like breaking the surface of water, you come crashing out of the forest and go speeding through the fields.  The wind whips against your face, and as you lower your head to avoid the cold, you catch a glimpse of the village.  As you reach the other side of the huge clearing and head into the next part of the forest, you briefly wonder how Mokou is doing.
> The trees in this part of the forest are very dense, and it's a miracle that Ran is able to glide between the branches as skillfully as she does.  The trees start to thin out, and she gradually slows to a halt.  Up ahead, you can see a field through the trees.
> Ran sniffs the air.  'There are lots of bugs here,' she notes.
> Nazrin is too wind blown to respond to this.  She smoothes out her hair.

> You pull out the seeing stone.  There are hundreds of little colorful dots scattered about the premises.  Up in the trees, there are probably a thousand yellow dots in the branches.
