Upon arriving at the Palace of the Earth Spirits, you've heard from Utsuho about a tengu that arrived in the city around the same time the ghosts showed up. You've met up with Kogasa and traveled with her to the surface. Along the way, you've talked with Parsee at the bridge and found out that the ghosts were being led by a girl with brown, braided hair, and a girl who looks like Yakumo Yukari. You've gone to Reimu and talked to her about the incident, and she has gone underground to investigate. You've taken it upon yourself to find someone to hook Reimu up with. Alongside Marisa, Patchouli, and Kogasa, you've helped rescue Sakuya from the Prismriver Mansion. You've met Layla, a girl living there. You've journeyed to the Netherworld and met Saigyouji Yuyuko, and have agreed to tell Youmu to come home. You've gone to the Human Village and met Murasa Minamitsu, Ichirin, and Unzan, and have had dinner with them and Kogasa. You've gone to the Myouren Temple and met Kikuri, who is repenting. You've wandered to the hot springs and met an unknown girl who gave you a package to give to Reimu.

Personal story: one time I went to a hot spring, in late December, and it started raining. It was actually a very weird yet pleasant experience.

< It's a portal. It has a lot of inky black stuff coming out of it in tendrils, clawing at the snow and leaving behind black stains. Monoe starts shaking like a leaf and hides behind you.

< You try shaking the sleeping girl awake, but she doesn't stir. She's definitely not dead, though. Her chest rises and falls with each steady breath, as if she's having a peaceful dream. Even when she's laying in the snow like this...?
< Monoe stares at her, as if she doesn't know what to think.

< You turn back to the portal, equip your gohei, and start building up a purifying charge. As you do this, plants start to sprout from under your feet, and soon they are growing from both the ground and walls in spite of the snow. Monoe looks around, bewildered.

< Monoe stays quiet, then nods slowly.

< You release all of your pent up miracle energy onto the portal. The black tendrils are ripped away as plants start growing from the portal at lightening speed, causing them to disintegrate and leave behind a stone square around a swirling vortex. There is a deafening explosion, and plants explode from the portal, completely covering the igloo and causing parts of it to crumble away. There is a strange pull of gravity; it feels like the vortex is trying to suck you in.

< You go into the portal, dragging Monoe along with you. Both of you are sucked in almost instantly. There's a burst of light, and you suddenly feel very dizzy.
< Once the light has cleared up, you get a better view of your surroundings. There's a huge, expansive sea stretching out ahead of you, but the water is so shallow you can see the pink sand at the bottom, dotted with seashells. The sky is light blue, with large, puffy blue clouds. It feels warm here, like a nice summer day. There's a lot of coral sticking out of the water in pastel colors. There are even balloons floating in the air, stagnant. Farther out, you see a small island of coral with what looks like a little castle on it. A pleasant wind blows. < It actually works, and the ball of light you conjour up casts light over the room, although much of it is still covered in shadow.
< It looks exactly like a normal adolescent girl's room. There's a bookshelf, a desk with a trash can and desk lamp, a bed pushed up against one corner, a dresser, and posters of cute things on the wall. However, upon closer inspection, you see that the shadows look more like dark vacuums with thousands of eyes staring out at you.
< At the center of the room, there's a girl curled up on a beanbag. Her hair is long, blonde, and pulled into a ponytail, and she's wearing a green shirt and brown skirt. She looks rather faded, colorwise. There's something suspicious about the beanbag, and there's a strange black shadow underneath her with even more eyes staring out of it...
< Monoe looks like she's either going to faint or throw up.

< One of the girl's eyes open (oh, she has blue eyes). She clutches the beanbag and sits up, drawing her knees to her chest. The black space underneath her widens.

< "This is the Pastel Shoal World." There is the girl's voice, and then a woman's voice on top of that. Disconcerting. She looks rather out-of-it. "These...eyes..." For a brief moment, it's just the girl's voice. "...They're normal."

< You glance at the black space. The eyes rattle and stretch onto the walls. Monoe lets out a terrified squeak.

< Using your gohei, you flick open the curtains and send light spilling into the room. The black space instantly retreats into the natural shadows of the room, and the beanbag girl squints and rubs her eyes. She drops her beanbag, and it sinks into the floor.

Guy's command, while not the one I would go with, gets close to the mark: we need to figure out why Sanae would stay with Kogasa over Konngara. What are the traits in both Kogasa and Konngara that Sanae admires? Would Sanae want to stay with Kogasa due to a sense of obligation? Are there any alternatives?
Most importantly: is this a decision that Sanae would make this instant, or can she possibly hold off until she's had her head put straight? Remember that there's a certain mind reader at the palace that can help get things straight for Sanae.

There is an alternative, of course: keep both of them.
I'd expect that it'll work best for Sanae to stay with Kogasa, but until I know what she thinks about KOnngara, I can't say for sure. Hence the command for that information.

This is my suggestion: talk to Konngara, first, find out why she likes Sanae. This is a pretty big bomb that she's dropped on Sanae, after all, so Sanae will be stumbling and trying to figure out what's going on. Asking Konngara questions like "why she likes her" and "since when" and "why did she tell her now" will allow Sanae to buy time and composure, and it will let Konngara be proactive for once.
Then, if we still don't know what to do, tatsukete Satori.
EDIT: Also, forgot about this: Guy, it's not a bad suggestion, entering a command to find out what Sanae thinks about Konngara, but the problem is that we're the ones that have the most control over how Sanae thinks about Konngara, not the parser. We got a little info at the beginning, and we've been roleplaying as Sanae with Konngara since.

> The chasm really is a chasm. All of the buildings here are literally on the walls, spanning down into the blackness at the bottom. There are bridges spanning across to the other side, connecting the two sides together. Meanwhile, on the walls themselves, there are stairways and walkways with stone walls around them, presumably to keep people from falling. Still, since most of the buildings are in the walls, there's a lot of walking room. Looking down at it makes you feel dizzy.

There are also lots of pictures of oni partying in the city, with more ghosts and a few evil spirits here and there. Konngara shows up in the background once or twice, as well as an oni that you suspect is Yuugi.
