>Nod to the kappa.
>Go to the warehouse
> You acknowledge the kappa and start to follow it. Momiji expresses confusion, but tags along anyway.
> Drink it whole. Gee, you're thirsty. You walked so much and talked so much.
>To Momiji. "Well, I guess that surprise might be ruined. But I think I can salvage a bit of it."
>Follow along.
>Don't be a dick with the canteen; offer Momiji some too. She's be debatalizing too.
>Make a mental note to refill it at earliest convenience.
> You reach into your bag and pull out your canteen. You unscrew the cap and take a sip. The water inside is still cool, but it lacks the crispness you expect the water in Kappa Town has.
> You offer Momiji your canteen, which she graciously accepts and drains about half of it. You drink some more, and then decide to pour the rest out and refill from the kappa's water. Fortunately, the young kappa didn't see you pour out the water, and let's you use their water source.
> You try this water, and it's as crisp as you expected.
> You tell Momiji about the spoiled surprise. "Oh well, the sooner I can apologize the better, right?"
> Eventually, you arrive at the warehouse and are greeted, once again, by a massive throng of people, nearly twice as many this time. Nitori pushes her way out and drags you into the fray, paying ne heed to Momiji.
> "Come on, come on! You gotta see this!"
> You finally push your way to the center. The crowd surrounds Chen, now dressed in a mask and thick gloves, weilding a blowtorch.
> "She's a natural, it's amazing! I've never seen anyone pick up metalworking as quick as she did. Hey Chen! Look who's back!"
> Chen turns around and flips up her mask; her eyes lighting up once she notices you.
> "Ah, Boxman! Looky looky looky!" as she grabs something off the table and hands it to you. It's two long nails, each one with a loop bent into it, and looped through each other. "I started her on a basic tavern puzzle design, and she nailed it in one shot."
> So she claims, but looking at it you can tell it's not solvable, Chen didn't leave any space to free the loops. Oh well, it's the thought that counts, right?
> "I want you to have this, since you helped me out so much today. I hope you like it!"
> "Um..." Momiji squeaks.
> Chen looks at her and freezes, eyes wide and no longer shining. You take this opportunity to nudge Momiji forward.
> "Um..." you don't think she's apologized like this before. "Chen, I, uh, I'm sorry. I said some things to you today that I really shouldn't have. I thought I was just upholding the law like I was trained to do, but after talking to him, I did a lot of thinking. There's no reason for me not to be able to still uphold laws while treating everyone as an equal. I'm sorry for making you cry, not everyone can view things in the same way I do, so they'll react to things differently. I'm sorry-"
> Chen wraps her arms around Momiji. "It's OK, I'm not mad right now. I know you were just following orders, like Yukari makes me do. I hope we can still be friends."
> "F-friends? I, uh, I don't know. If you're really not mad, I guess we can."
> "Uh-huh! I love making new friends!"
> The crowd of kappa that had been slowly filing out stand and watch this unfold. If anything, there are more of them now.
