>Let's go follow those tracks. They're a bit more definite than cities in the distance.
> You float off the roof and return to the foyer, where you retrieve your shoes. You leave the shrine and walk down the stairs, leaving the scent of ginger behind you. At the bottom of the stairs, you see that the paw prints are still there, leading down the path away from the shrine. You follow them.
> It turns out that the shrine really was in the middle of a forest: although there is a clean-cut path leading to it, little has been done to alter the terrain to accommodate it. You find yourself going up and down many small hills, and by the time you've reached the end of the path, you find yourself quite tired. Where the dirt path ends, there's a short flight of stairs that lead down to a strange black strip of rock with yellow lines painted down the middle. Flanking it are square slabs of rock. The paw prints lead right up to the stairs, and end there. As there are still many trees about, you can't see much more from your current position.
