This was a good clip better than my easy 1cc... and I didn't even make it past S5 ~~Nazrin~~. (Maybe I should consider building more survival UFO's... >.>;;)

Yeah, I just did the same thing. And I did well, i guess for my first legitimate 1cc of Scarlet Devil.

You can disable the hitbox patch by taking your dat files and putting them in another folder, then download the originals.

Hum, didn't cap Q.E.D. this time. The rest of the battle was fine except for bombing the last several seconds of her survival to ensure I didn't miss out on the point items. A little of the circle grazing for her second spell, otherwise it's all the same. Very little bullet bonus timing, if at all. Forgot where to end that second spell for the 1M+ bonus.

Almost a perfect Patchy battle if not for Water Elf. Ended with too many resources...should have suicided shortly after midboss Sakuya. And let's see...a silly bomb on endstage Meiling's opener but I told myself I'd bomb if I had half a doubt. This really isn't a game I can expect to 1CC on a whim and be carefree, unlike PCB. Embarassing performance near the end of stage four claiming no lives but a handful of bombs.

Okay, giving UFO Normal a shot this evening! No strict scoring UFO routes, however.

Still no idea how to score well. Best I've done in EoSD was only 4m over my current best.
MarisaA isn't bad at all in UFO and the laser is easy to get used to.

Stupid mistakes in stages 2,3 and 4 yet still finished with 3 lives, so I can grab a few blues along the way.

Extra was a bad stage run as usual, then perfect Nue until the very end of Rainbow UFO, then a laser spawned on me during her survival then stupidly clipped Yorimasa Genzanmi. All 3 with bombs left. Meh.
By the way, what is the clear bonus for remaining lives? pm me or post it with the next score.... :V

Yeah, pretty bad. I don't know, I just don't get good vibes handling this shot type on any difficulty aside from Easy, possibly Extra. UFO Normal as a whole is a turn-off. SA Normal retains the replay value, but this game...

UFO - Lunatic
BaitySM - 289,859,540 - 6 - 0.0% - (replay) Improvement below.

Messed the scoring in Stage 5. Miscalculated the Spark, causing me to lose 150mil+ and some more lives / bombs than "usual".

I also have a UFO Hard run at about 330mil, until I accidentally lost it all before the Point Item "Gold Mine" (like my Lunatic run just above). Point Item Value was somewhere between 55k and 65k IIRC.

It's obvious I have no idea what I'm doing. Collected power items with a blue UFO (8 X 0 = 0 points), died whenever I tried to supergraze, usually with bombs in stock, etc.
Still, this score is almost double my original best, so I'm happy with it. I find it more fun to do blind score runs anyway, I'm too lazy to memorize everything.

By increasing base point item value via grazing and UFO tokens, and cashing in on blue and multicolored UFO item hauls. You could, you know, watch a high score replay. ;)

EZ, Normal, and Extra to come later with waaaay better scores.

Phar: The trick is to skyrocket point item value by Grazing (10 graze = +10 to value) and to spend the early stages spamming Multicolor UFOs. Grabbing a UFO Token while a UFO is active is a +500 to point value. For comparison, Easy Mode starts at 5,000 Value. At the end of Stage 1, that value can be more than doubled (~11000-12000) with the right route and using Rainbow UFOs - which pays off when you can get Blue UFOs going in stage 5/6 that can be worth over 200,000,000 when destroyed!
But of course you can still net a payoff beforehand - my Hard beats the currently-listed 70k record without even reaching boss Ichirin, while that run made it to stage 4, because I've boosted the crap out of my point value already.
