It's not like the way the bar currently looks is bad. If there's nothing that fits well into it then it would still look well the way it is right now.
But maybe some of the red flashes of Sakuya's attacks in UNL could look nice.

An option is something that provides the supplementary fire (in this case the lasers) and is flying around the character.
I don't know where the term originated exactly but it was in one of these old shoot 'em ups and it just stuck.

Think Of It As A Anti Flip Thing.

I never had that much trouble with Seija's screen-flipping. Except for the upside-down one.
I've played too much Secret of Mana/Evermore to be fazed by shuffled controls!
