MIght be worth checking the shrine first in case Meiling is still there, before she dissapears again.

I would, but I don't want to risk dragging her through TenguTown and getting in trouble for it. We only got permission for ourselves.

EDIT: Actually you're probably right, I changed my mind.

Even if we don't get permission, we could ask her to wait on the outskirts or something.

Figured as much. Oh well.

> Continue on into the village, looking for a prison.

>You continue up the mountain.
>Most of the buildings are tall, thins things with multiple stories and several balconies; rather like the ones you saw in the future mountain and Apex. Streets are narrow and and mostly sloped to some degree. It would be a bad place to drop your money. However, you also pick out a couple of blockier buildings; one is large and fairly ornate, with sloping roofs and a couple of pagoda-style towers. Another is smaller and more humble in the middle of the town, bearing little decoration, looking like a like an artless rectangle in the middle of everything.

> Aim for that nondescript building. That seems more likely to be a prison than the fancy building.

>You land in front of it. The streets are narrow and have a fair deal of foot traffic; several tengu in various clothing look at you curiously as you descend, as do several lounging on their balconies. The building is no less spartan from the front than it was from the air. The door is simple but heavy, easily thick enough to resist most shoulder ramming. A sign above the door simply reads, "Prison."

> If not, enter.

>It is not.
>You make your way inside, and find yourself in a fairly cramped and poorly organized office. The walls are bare and covered with a cheap-looking plaster. Sitting at the desk is a white wolf tengu frowning at a paper, then writing something on it. Then she glances up and frowns at you. You recognize her as Kazuha, she's a bit more round-faced than you remember, but quite recognizable.
>"Uh," she says.
