From what I've gathered there are some occupations that there can be several off such as the exterminator or various apprentices.
Since the sign-ups aren't first come first serve it's also possible that someone that has already submitted their profile doesn't get accepted, leaving the spot open. I'd guess you can use any occupation that has not yet been confirmed as taken but having a substitute might be good.

Literally anything she can think of. It's kind of hard to think of a supposedly-imposible situation in Gensokyo, where the impossible happens all the time, so I'll use an example from a previous use of the Laresa character, in a Pokemon story. She was a traveling trainer, and she kept in her pack a photo album. In this album were photos of locations all around the world. She compiled the album herself, and did so for one purpose: in the event that she suddenly finds herself instantly relocated (meaning teleported to an unfamiliar location), she compares the photos with her surroundings to get an idea of where she is. This isn't nearly as crazy a scenario in Gensokyo, but it should give you an idea. When I say 'anything she can think of', I'm not exaggerating. If she finds herself chained up in a basement, she has a plan for that. If she finds herself under attack by flying wolves, she has a plan for that. If she has to get from point A to point B without arms or legs, she has a plan for that. If she gets swallowed by a giant crow that then gets eaten by giant leeches, she has a plan for that (I did say she was kind of crazy). There is, of course, no garuntee that her plans will work, but she does have them.Lmao. That's epic in a way.
And if that makes her sound too capable, well, I can assure you that when I actually play her, it won't come across that way at all.

It is this power that enabled him to acheive his dream of becoming a true youkai: he freed himself from the chains of humanity, his previous life.
Occupation: Self-styled savior of the living.
Appearance: Braided black hair falling down halfway down his back. Blue trousers and matching vest, with a white shift underneath, all of which showing obvious signs of wear, like a man that's worn them pretty much every day for two years. Which is fairly close to true. Wears a silver ring with a sapphire jewel.
Other: Developed danmaku before his sister, he has spellcards of his own. (Which I'll develop if and when I have need)
The nature of his power also allows him to transform other beings into youkai, which he has done three times before, and these youkai are his friends and followers, devoted to his cause of helping all living beings attain the greatness of youkai-ness, freeing them from the burden of their limited lives. However, he cannot force this transformation upon a living being, it has to be accepted by the other. This is what he and his comrades currently seeks; a way to use his powers on a Gensokyo-wide scale, for the benefit of all.
That's the skeleton of Kohaku's opposite star, anyway. I'll furnish additional details as well as profiles of the three converts of his upon request, if you've a place in this story for him, Sonae.

Maybe it's just a personal bias of mine, which I admit I am capable of, but I can't help but see Miko as a villain of touhou. Laresa doesn't really know too many of them (with Keine being the most notable exception), but she's met and would recognize a lot of them, especially those ones you listed that could be encountered anywhere.
And Aya is one of those characters you can encounter nearly anywhere. She goes wherever interesting things happen.
Others that can be encountered anywhere include Koishi, Rumia, Suika, and Yukari.

The silence persisted until there was a knock on the door. A voice soon followed, asking for permission to enter the room. Ranna got up from her chair and opened the door. It was Rhiseza.
Ranna bowed slightly and motioned for the girl to come in. Mokou looked towards the girl, hiding the pain from her eyes.
Rhiseza nodded and stepped inside. "I'm... Sorry about earlier. I shouldn't have acted like that in front of you. And..." She turned to Mokou. "I'm sorry I wasn't here earlier. I'm trying to work as fast as I can."
Without another word she knelt down next to Mokou and looked to see what all she could do. She didn't have anything to dull the pain...

Ranna let out a sigh mixed with slight laughter. She looked out the doorway to see Nanaya was up and moving around. The slight smile that slipped across her face vanished. She watched as Nanaya walks past, not noticing Ranna's gaze, with Newan in tow, Aesera following behind them. Ranna strains her neck to watch them go down the hall and into Newan's and Nazrin's room. Oh yeah, she's in there with those two because her partner isn't here. Ranna pauses for a second, Now that I think about it, I've never seen her partner around since I joined the group...I wonder what kind of person her partner is... She wonders as she turns her gaze back to Mokou, who seems to have a lot more energy than someone who just had their stomach ripped open should have. Ranna turns her eyes back to the hall. Her eyes sharpening for a moment.
That girl definitely has some explaining to do...
"Eehh..." Mokou mouthed in slight protest but then quieted to let Rhiseza focus.
Ranna watched intently from where she stood leaning against the door frame. She wanted to see the extent of Rhiseza power for herself, so she'd know their limit in battle.
After a few minutes there was a slight glow which grew brighter with each passing second. Ranna closed one eye and titled her head away slightly. Within another moment, the light vanished entirely.
Mokou gave a dull expression in response, blinking a few times. Then she closed her eyes and scratched her head, tilting it to the side slightly.
"So? How do you feel now?" Ranna asked somewhat plainly.
Mokou gave a puzzled expression. Then quickly leapt to her feeting, giving the other two a shock. Mokou looked as if she was thinking deeply. After a second of thought, Mokou shoved her hands in her pockets and strolled out of the room. The two girls watched her, speechless, as she effortlessly strolled out of the room. Ranna's faced held a strangely unsastified expression.
"...I guess it worked..." Ranna said. She shook her head. I should follow after her so she doesn't collapse or something... She thought as she dashed after Mokou.
She finally found her at the front of the shrine, standing between the shrine and it's gate, staring out over Gensokyo.
"Hah...hah...ah!...There you are. Are you sure you can be up so soon" Ranna said, trying to catch her breath. She looked up at the sky. Huh...It looks to be getting later...i wonder what time it is... She decided to ask Mokou. "...Uh Moko- Wait where are you going!" She said, noticing Mokou had begun to walk away towards the shrine's stairs.
Mokou turned and shot her a grin. "Ya see these?" She said pointing down to her tattered clothes.
Ranna nodded, not quite understanding what Mokou had meant.
Mokou's grin widened. "I'm gonna get a new pair" Mokou said.
Ranna looked at her puzzled. "A new pair..."
Without responding Mokou turned and headed for the stairs.
"Hey! Wa-!" Ranna shouted after her but it was too late.
As Mokou reached the first step, a sudden burst of flames enveloped her. Ranna fell back in sheer shock. Her eyes wide as they could go. She gasped for air as the Fire sucked up the oxygen in the area. Mokou, flames shooting out of her back, launched herself into the air. As she did so a strong gust of wind over took the area. Ranna closed her eyes, putting her hand up to shield her from the flames that she surely thought were about to whip against her skin, giving her severe burns.
She kept her eyes close, her body shaking in fear. ...wait...what happened....why haven't I been burnt yet.? She wondered, slowly opening her eyes which swirled green and purple as she hesitantly opened them, returning to their default positions in her eyes when she had them open enough. She peeked through the gaps in between her fingers.
Nothing.
She opened her eyes fully and lowered her hand.
The flames were gone, completely, without a trace. As if they were just a figment of Ranna's own imagination. She gazed forward blinking every now and again, trying to figure out what had happened. She was speechless.
Aftter a few moments, she realized Mokou was gone. She looked around trying to find her. No sign of her.
"...Mokou...?" She said aimlessly. Then something caught her eye.
Something flying through the sky, it was already far enough away to not be recognizable. The thought passed through her mind but she quickly expelled it.
"There's no way....right...?" She said, barely able to believe what had happened in just a split second before her eyes. She sat there on the ground, still trying to figure out what had just transpired.

How long has Reimu been missing? For those of us that have characters that are friendly with youkai, we may have heard of Reimu, or Marisa, at least in passing from the youkai we've associated with, as those two had to be pretty infamous among youkai. What with the random beatings (and the saving the world, or course) all across gensokyo, and all.

I've got Laresa covered. After losing Suika, she's going to attempt to determine Suika's identity. Since all she has to go on is Suika's ability, she won't have much luck with her regular methods, so she'll go straight to Keine for access to the Chronicles. Is it okay for her to know that Keine has such records, even if she doesn't actually know the nature of those records? If not, she'd go to Keine to ask if such unusual gatherings had happened in the past, figuring that if anyone would know that, it would be the village teacher. From there, the conversation would progress to Keine giving Laresa access to the Chronicles.
You could have Kisei's little scuffle escalate into a real fight. That's my only idea, besides going to sleep. Other than that, I'll go with anything.

Well Control the World can also be said as what effects it on a large scale, or no scale at all. In which, the control of nameless human NPCs will not affect the plot unless one were to be stupid and make them say things that they would never know.
Also for Senri, and Senri Alone, he is allowed to control his Youkai Mother. All Players, with the exception of Amaya, can control their family.
So the best way to put it is as such.
1. I control the World you control your character.
- I control and decide events that occur. Exception: Players may suggest events.
- I control ALL Touhous. No Exceptions.
- I Control ALL NPOCs. Exception: Player made immediate family.
- I will ultimately decide the outcomes of ALL GM instigated occurances. No Exceptions.

I will say, though, that saying we absolutely cannot include actions for anyone other than our own characters is very constraining, and will probably not work out well. I've seen that tried before, and the results weren't good (the thing came to a screeching halt any time there was a conversation).

I'm busy enough with Katelin Mia, me having to prepare gifts and send them, exams in 3 weeks, my parents, some gaming event which Dular is helping me with, EoG(Alice), drawing EoG posters and that bloody Valentines Day. Really not in the mood to back-n-forth with Trance fttb.

First of all, Not everyone will just head out and do shit without some kind of trigger. So far the only one that i know could head out to some random part of Gensokyo without any lead is Takuma. No one else seems like they'd take the initiative.
Second, I haven't heard a single one of you come to me and say 'Hey, I want so and so to go to Youkai Mountain at some point'. I know a few of you have asked me about some things, but No one has asked things like 'can I go here' or 'can I meet her'
Third. With Optional Missions set up, it forces me to plan out various things to keep players busy. I think you've already seen that some characters have almost nothing to do. This is a solution to that.
So how is that too controlling? Would you prefer I keep leaving those that don't get themselves involved out? Not everyone is able to force their character into things.
And who said that these missions would be the only plot deviation? It wasn't me. The actual plot doesn't kick in for a while and I've said many times. Discuss with me.

She may not know Suika's name, but she's seen Suika. When Laresa shows up asking about a girl with horns, well, I would imagine that Kohaku would recall the girl that showed up to stop Youmu from attacking her. Then Laresa's just going to ask where Suika is at the moment.

Certain characters have specific mentors that they most likely wont be shaaring with others.
These are people like say, parents.
So Senri could have Youko as a mentor. And Amaya Sanae.
If you guys wanted you could prolly force me to think up a mentor for you all.
Also, The most likely route I'll take for these missions is that the player will accept them here outside of the game. The main reason being it's hard to put this mission list in an easily accessible place for everyone
