< You are Sonozaki Meira, but you somehow feel a little different. Your hair is blonde, even though you have already confirmed your hair color as being dark purple. You're also wearing a strange dress that most certainly does not work like a yukata. What is this? And what is this strange black void you seem to be standing in? Above your head, in glaring, blocky letters, the words "GAME OVER" are spinning.
< You hear a clacking sound: faint at first, but steadily getting louder.
< You look up to see a narrow set of stairs materializing, heading straight for you. They stop right at your feet, and you can see a woman descending down them. She is beautiful. Her blue-white hair tumbles down past her knees, and many white wings sprout from her back. She is dressed modestly, in a white gown with flowing sleeves and a dark blue panel. Her boots are lace-ups and seem odd compared to the rest of her outfit, but you can't help but be drawn to her eyes that look down at you almost critically. In her right hand is a staff: you try looking at it, but your head throbs when you do so.
< "Do you know why you are here?" You don't know how to answer. Once you've gotten over the initial shock of just seeing this woman, you're just confused. But she might have answers. However, you find that you can't seem to say anything.
< "You're here because you have died," the woman says. She raises her arms as she walks down the stairs for emphasis.
< You get a tight feeling in your gut, a weird feeling that says "oh, man, I screwed up". Regret, maybe?
< "However." Her voice jolts you back to attention. She...smiles? "I can give you a second chance."
< "I am here to give you a second chance." She stops right in front of you, and you realize how familiar she looks. Where have you seen her before?
< Who is she? You can't quite put your finger on it...
< "I can revive you, but on one condition." And that is?
< "The condition is that I can revive you, but not as a human
> ...
> ...
> The sun's pretty bright.
