> You keep your eyes covered and your head down as you get the bedrolls.  There are still bloodstains on the ground from last night's skirmish, although it's dried up now.

> You try to avoid stepping on the blood stains as you leave the room and then the castle itself.
> Kouyoshi nods.  "Uh-huh."
> The two of you leave through the front doors and find yourselfs on the bridge again.  It's warm out, with leaves and motes floating through the air.  You can see youkai picking their way through the labyrinth below, although most of them look kind of tired.  You actually see some sprawled out on the rocks, sleeping soundly.

> You start walking away from the castle, and ask Kouyoshi what she thinks about fishing.
> "That sounds like a good idea," she says.  "There's a big river that runs down youkai mountain with a lot of fish in it."

> "Right!" Pause. "My sword's still stuck, though. I guess I can whack 'em..."

> "That won't do, we'll have to get it unstuck somehow."

> Try pulling on the sword again.

> You tug at the katana, but it's still stuck in its sheath.
> A couple of faeries nearby laugh.

"Where do you think we should put our pit, Kuyoshi?"

> Glare at the fairies. "Hey! If you think you can do better, come here and try it!"

> That was dumb.
> Kouyoshi shrugs.  "I don't know, probably near the shrine, I guess?"

> Glare at the fairies. "Hey! If you think you can do better, come here and try it!"

> "No waaay~"  The faeries stick their tongues out at you and flutter off into the trees.

> And we're walking and talking all the way to the river.

> The two of you keep walking, across the bridge and away from the castle.  It's cloudy again, but the sun is unblocked as it continues to shine on.  Under the cover of the trees, it's pleasantly cool.  You and Kouyoshi continue walking for some time, passing by more kedama along the way.  They leave you alone, but Mii floats up a little above your head to make squeaking sounds at them.  She settles back on top of your head as you near the edge of the forest, where the wheat field is.

> As you keep walking, you keep a hold of Mii.  She stares straight ahead at the scarecrow, which is still in tatters from yesterday.
> You keep walking.  Youkai Mountain looms overhead as always.
> Kouyoshi looks up.  "The river's on the mountain, unless you want to just follow it down past that."

> "Um... lets go down from the mountain."

> "Ok."  Kouyoshi stops walking and takes a look around.  "Um...I wonder where the river would be from here..."

> "Oh, I wonder... if only we had a map..." :3c
> Pull out the map and look!

> You do have a map.
> You take a look.  OF all the bodies of water you sketched, there's one that snakes around Youkai Mountain and goes closer to the border, farther behind the shrine.  It then disappears behind the mountains from there.

> You're around the base of Youkai mountain.  The river runs straight down, more to the west of where you're facing, but branches off and wraps around the other side.

> "If we go... that way," point to the west towards where we think the river goes, "we can get to the river!"
> Roll up the map and put it away. Onward!
